The Extraordinary Ordinary: Well, We Are Still Here
http://wienerheadgiraffe.blogspot.com/2010/09/well-we-are-still-here.html
Friday, September 17, 2010. Well, We Are Still Here. Fall, not spring, always sparks in me the idea of renewal. I think as farmer kid the harvest always seemed like the end of a cycle and the start of something new, not spring. Spring is in the middle of everything. It still freaks me out that the sun is lower and days are shorter, so it looks like fall, but it doesnt feel like fall! September 17, 2010 at 9:56 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Due to our last minute change of plans we were able to snag a great deal on a tree.$10 Who knew? Slackers and procrastinators unite! An almost 6 foot tree for cheap! We had a great time decor. On the first Saturday I had off from baking we went to the Ellen Trout Zoo, in Lufkin. The boys were thrilled as they hadn't been in awhile. We saw all of our favorite critters. The Extraordinary Ordinary: July 2009
http://wienerheadgiraffe.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 30, 2009. Tomorrow is baking day. I was thinking about trying some different things. I haven't tried selling a rye for almost half a year. Is Nacogdoches ready for it yet? I just need to decide if I will go with a light Jewish rye, or a denser German rye. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions. Oh, One last thing: Come by my booth on Saturday. If you mention the blog you will get a dollar off! I'll know you read it when you mention the Italian Herb bread pictured above. Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Then we...

The Extraordinary Ordinary: April 2009
http://wienerheadgiraffe.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. Time to make the Bagels. Incase anyone wondered, we are still in the bread business. Every Friday we bake and bake and bake. Everyone in the family helps out. Does most of the mixing and kneading - what people think of when they hear "you bake at home.". Is bagel boiler, and kid watcher, and emergency "I need XXX atthe store." person. On the porch for lunch. Baking day can be a bit trying on the nerves, and a crazy busy day in general, but I love it. Thursday, April 16, 2009.

The Extraordinary Ordinary: August 2009

Saturday, August 22, 2009. So, Isaac says "How come I'm not flying." He calls himself superman flier. Jason says: "Maybe he lost the manual to the suit." (A thing that is very funny to a child of the 80s. HAHAHAHAHA). Thursday, August 13, 2009. What to do when you get up at midnight to a boy with a wet bed? Hmmmm Watch the Perseid shower - after Ollie takes a shower. Yeah Oliver likes trucks. Helen slept through the whole thing. Thank goodness. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
