Bayern Roots: March 2013
http://bayernroots.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Tracing my Bayern (Bavarian) roots along with my all my other roots. Saturday, March 23, 2013. I loved the fact that I can watch live sessions from the Rootstech conference. I especially enjoyed Syd Lieberman's. Keynote. He had such a wonderful way of weaving the story about his family into an interesting story. My next favorite of the streaming sessions was Laura Prescott's. She introduced me to some great sites I have never considered. And of course the always funny David Pogue. View my complete profile.

Jack describes the gifts provided by the Red Cross to the military, some of which might raise eyebrows nowadays, like cigarettes and tobacco. They enjoyed a traditional holiday dinner and were treated to a white Christmas. Of course, with the wintry weather, Jack also was met with an "inconvenient" cold. I suppose that you often wonder why I don't describe the country over here. Well ...

Homestead Act Records Toolbox. Monday, September 15, 2014. Missouri State Genealogical Society Conference. Not only did the genealogists come to town this summer. But I got to meet up with some of my long time genealogy friends at the annual conference of the Missouri State Genealogical Society (MoSGA) in Columbia, Missouri in August. The keynote speaker was D. Joshua Taylor. President of the Federation of Genealogical Societies and on-air talent for Genealogy Roadshow. And Who Do You Think You Are?
