Freitag, 22. Februar 2013. Frühjahrsputz -Kampf dem Kruscht. Hier liegt Schnee. Links to this post. Hostes with the Mostess.

Dot and Lala: June 2012
http://dotandlala.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
This is a little record of our family's day-to-day adventures in the kitchen, at the sewing machine, at the craft table, in the garden, on the knitting needles.whatever 'small' happenings the day should bring. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Thanks to the lead from here. I decided it was worth a try. The designs are basic and I have lots to learn but, wow, we had so much fun. I've never been a brilliant drawer but I always enjoyed it and, well, that's the main idea isn't it! I picked up some soft-lino from here.

I used some Essex Linen to accent the pillows as well as this taupe stripe/dot print above. I also added contrasting binding on each pillow and backed them in linen with a binded envelope enclosure. Robyn and her family love their new pop of color! If only I could figure out the cover for their long bench pad. will try for the 3rd time sometime this week!

Polka Dot Front - Sunny day, hence my shadow! While she was still in my sister, Robyn's tummy. I kept the pattern simple and modern with appliqued circles/polka dots on the front and a scrappy border. For the back I did a simple strip quilt with alternating stripes. By Missy.with Love. Making the world a cozier place, one Quilt at a time. Thursday, January 20, 2011. About a year ago I bought some beautiful Japanese Papers from Hiromi Paper at the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. I finally decided to use one of the prints for some wall decor for our office/guest room. Here is one of 3 white framed Butterfly prints. Unique, yet inexpensive Art! Sorry about the picture quality - I need to start taking pictures for the blog w/ my real camera and not my blackberry!

Here are some smaller projects that have kept me busy since returning from our 2 week vacation back East (NY and Maine) - I finally started a new quilt this week, so back on the bandwagon!
