Society Review and Photos. Arriving at Victoria Station, we queued and boarded the tram for the journey to the top. As the cars were open to the elements, it was lucky that it was a lovely day with only a slight breeze. After the steep gradient of the first tram, the group then changed trams at the Halfway Station to make the final ascent to the summit. Society Review and Photos. Station Brow and Moss Lane. Bow Lane, Leyland Way and Wigan Road. When the Through the Lanes of Leyland sold out, I wondered what to do with the pictures and text. The book attempted to cover most parts of Leyland by taking two walks through the old country lanes of the village that now make up the main thoroughfares of the town. So the first walk is reproduced here with more pictures and updated text. Wigan Road and Heald House. Hall Lane and Back Lane.
