Andy Priestner Training & Consulting. Reflections on my training offering. Arrival at Finland Station. June 19, 2014. June 19, 2014. I wondered. Could I travel the Underground for as long as I wanted? The people need peace, the people need bread, the people need land. And they give you war, hunger, no bread… We must fight for the social revolution, fight to the end, until the complete victory of the proletariat. Long live the worldwide socialist revolution.’. Wee Bookworm: Royal Albert Hall Archives
http://weebookworm.blogspot.com/2015/07/royal-albert-hall-archives.html
Thursday, 30 July 2015. Royal Albert Hall Archives. I have just spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall. Being shown round by their two lovely archivists. As a 'holding house', the Hall has slightly different archives to the National Theatre but there are more similarities than differences. We both use the CALM database as well as CALMView and it has been really helpful to compare experiences with the software and to see how they have re-branded the front end. As an archive of a 'holdin...

Head above the parapet. Saturday, 2 November 2013. Tea@three: engaging students in focused conversation over a cuppa. What is our library service about? Well, I hope it’s not about us, or our collections, or our space, but about YOU! By ‘you’ I’m thinking of an actual, or possibly future, user of the library collections, space and services. If you want a fun introduction to what a local media company. Thought our service was all about then look at this really short promo video of theLibrary. Tea@three is...

Andy Priestner – Training and Consulting. Interactive – inspiring – transformative. I have blogged since 2009, but in 2015 rebranded my blog as ‘Constructivist’ as I am now using it to reflect on my constructivist approach to the training I offer. I need to throw it down. Discussions with my Fixie. I am an active soul, one that enquires about things and I am genuinely interested in nearly everything (as long as it doesn’t bore me). I am not a librarian, nor do I pretend to be, I am a salesman that has never sold rubbish, I am a professional salesman. By decentdescent on June 3, 2010. Evolution of a website | Library Pie
https://librarypie.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/evolution-of-a-website
Made of tasty stuff. December 2, 2011. Evolution of a website. Posted by Meg Westbury under library marketing. I am going to tell you a story about how the library website at my place of work. In 18-months. I thought it might be fun to take a look behind-the-scenes at how the site developed. Describing the process may help other designers — or at the very least make for a good laugh or cautionary tale. So, what’s a library to do? Most seem to solve the problem by grouping resources by. Either this or the...
Joeyanne Libraryanne » facilitation
http://joeyanne.co.uk/tag/facilitation
Falling out of love with traditional presenting. On: July 15, 2015. Well, I’ve been having an affair. As a learner, I definitely prefer this approach (which I appreciate may skew my opinion). During the Clore Leadership Short Course. But in future I’ll definitely be considering when honing my facilitation skills may be more appropriate than honing my presentation skills. What do you think? Do you prefer presenting or facilitating? Any tips for developing my facilitating skills? This work by Jo Alcock.
