Indigo Roth: Thanking Clouds In Earnest

Tuesday, July 07, 2015. Thanking Clouds In Earnest. I love the Summer, but I think we had ours last week. A frantic five days of insane temperatures and humidity (for the UK, that is), and now we're back to wind and rain. Tho obviously, as the season dictates, the rain is lovely and warm. Here's some pics. (Give 'em a click for a closer view, it's worth it.). And yes, new stories to follow soon, honest. Several months ago, I posted some nice shots of the red-leafed Virginia Creeper on Zoe's house. Be...

I've got to get this off my chest...!: Doggy School
http://ivegottogetthisoffmychest.blogspot.com/2014/04/doggy-school.html
I've got to get this off my chest! A collection of observations on a variety of topics. Random, but no topic is off limits. Monday, April 14, 2014. My pooch, Sandy, attended her first day of doggy school. It's safe to say she will not be graduating with honors. In fact, graduation may not even be in the cards. There are approximately 20 other pooches in her class. They range in age, size, color, intelligence, and manners. You'll soon figure out where on the spectrum my dog falls. It is kind of like that.

The Medicare Mom: July 2015

Having a newborn and a three-year-old at age 61 gives new meaning to "Retired" as in "tired again." However, the laughs keep coming. My hands are full as my friends say, but they are full of laughter and joy and even fuller because the newborn is ten and the three-year-old is thirteen. grinsandgroans@yahoo.com. Friday, July 10, 2015. Shut Up and Dance! Our social gatherings seldom included children unless grandchildren happen to be visiting our friends at the time. Time to expand their world. After expla...

Indigo Roth: August 2014

Sunday, August 24, 2014. Resisting My Photographic Advances. One of the many delights of working at an animal sanctuary is the diversity of creatures to be found there. First, and closest to my heart, the dogs. This is Ozzie, a beagle cross who won the hearts of the locals when I took him offsite to meet them yesterday. Of course, once I told him I could do moody black-and-white, he was all smiles. I think he's channelling Christopher Walkern at this point. A final shot as I headed home; as the sun desce...

Indigo Roth: November 2013

Sunday, November 17, 2013. This I Have Achieved. Well, all good things come to an end. Since late November last year, I've been a man of leisure. I was fortunate enough to have the resources at my disposal so that I did not need to work for a whole year. I elected to make the most of this, and set out to write my first book. This I have achieved. Soon after that, as an e-book on various platforms. Maybe even an audio book. Hey, I like audio books. Unabridged, natch. I'm rather excited by the prospect.

Sunday, February 16, 2014. Crash Bang Wallop What A Pizza. Did I say pizza? I've been away, but I have a note from my mum. I took a few photos today on a drive round neighbouring Bedfordshire to cover my indolence. There's still a lot of standing water in the fields, tho Bedfordshire received hardly any compared to some of the western counties. So many are flooded, with no sign of it easing. It seems to be Spring, even tho my friends in the States are still up to their noses in snow. Links to this post.

I've got to get this off my chest! A collection of observations on a variety of topics. Random, but no topic is off limits. Wednesday, January 29, 2014. I Am a Barge. Part 2 of My Triathlon Training Experience). I think I am on the cusp of transitioning from a boring ol' blog writer to an intense, melodramatic soap opera writer. My soap opera is the triathlon course I signed up for in a moment of shear stupidly. Again, what was I thinking? I am blessedly not writing from Davey Jones' locker. In my effort...

I've got to get this off my chest...!: I Survived My First Triathlon

I've got to get this off my chest! A collection of observations on a variety of topics. Random, but no topic is off limits. Sunday, April 27, 2014. I Survived My First Triathlon. I wasn't sure I'd live through it, but I did! Although I felt like a total triathlete imposter, I registered for a triathlon. Despite my better judgement. Race for a Reason. I woke up the morning of the triathlon feeling ill. If I didn't already know I am a complete psychosomatic mess, I would have thought I was getting the ...
