davep's weather: 2008-09
http://davep-wx.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
A geek and his personal weather station. Catching up, and a crash. Not much has been happening since my last post. Hence the reason I've not posted for some time. The base station of the WS3600 has crashed three times. The latest being today, so this still continues to be a problem. Also, the rain bucket still seems to be a little intermittent in the way it records rain (not that I've got it positioned in the best location). Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Mumble: 2010-02
http://davep-mumbling.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Welcome to the Mumble, it gets worse here every day.". After having some fun with the 38mm super-wide lens. I decided, late on last year, to also get the fisheye lens. So far I've not had the chance to use it but I aim to correct that pretty soon. I mention this because, earlier this week, I took delivery of yet another extra for the Diana : a flash. Here's the Diana with the fisheye lens and the flash attached:. And, I imagine, my Holga 120GN. I'm looking forward to the chance to get to use the flash now.

Mumble: Vodafone push Android Donut to my HTC Magic
http://davep-mumbling.blogspot.com/2009/10/vodafone-push-android-donut-to-my-htc.html
Welcome to the Mumble, it gets worse here every day.". Vodafone push Android Donut to my HTC Magic. I first saw it was heading my way last week and, sure enough, last night, Vodafone pushed Android Donut onto my HTC Magic. I knew pretty much what to expect in terms of headline features, thanks to this video:. But there's a couple of other things that have changed that I really like. So far I've only run into one problem after the 1.6 install. It seems that Google Search by Voice. Not that it defines me, ...

davep's weather: Stats and stuff
http://davep-wx.blogspot.com/2006/02/stats-and-stuff.html
A geek and his personal weather station. Yesterday evening I finally got round to creating a database for my weather data (using MySQL. And writing some code that injects the data into the database. While the site. Itself has never been, and probably won't ever be, driven off a database doing this does help me improve the content of the site. Having the data in a database that can be accessed with SQL. The first visible outcome of this is I've started a stats page. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Welcome to the Mumble, it gets worse here every day.". New site: www.seen-by.me.uk. Back in May this year I finally cracked and joined the ranks of people who use "smart phones". For a while I was seriously thinking about going for an Apple iPhone (especially after seeing Elizabeth Gordon. But, in the end, I was tempted by Android. And got myself a HTC Magic. One of the first things I did after I got it, following the lead of Elizabeth Gordon. Was to get a posterous. Seen by davep v1.1. Seen by davep .
