The fabulous life of Iris. Starting your own Business, part 1. We enclosed our last project: Problem Solving Day just three weeks ago and now we already are in the middle of a new one: Starting your own Business. Mr Kuipers suggested that the people who weren’t present could go with the NGO group, but that didn’t fall well! 8216;’That’s not fair right? 8217;’ and ‘’They should come to class then! 8217;’ followed. Luckily after half an hour two other people volunteered. Good luck with your projects! Lucki...

The fabulous life of Iris. Although I have had presentations in the past, I don’t feel like I’m getting use to them. And since I’m at the HEBO you have to do at least one presentation for each class! I am improving but I am still scared. Luckily I am not the only one. The people around me also seem nervous whenever they have to speak in public. Even those who are normally very ‘present’, gain to be a little clammy right before there big moment. At least till Christmas no more presentations for me! You ha...

http://iris-hebo.blogspot.com/2008/06/last-week.html
The fabulous life of Iris. This is already our last week! Not the very last of course. But this is the last week we have classes. I don’t yet realize it though. After this week, we have one week of exams and after that two project weeks, where in you have to present your business/NGO (very scary by the way! We have very little time to study for our exams, so this will be a very busy week! We also have to hand in so many reports! I am not very confident about that either, but we shall see! Me, myself and I.

http://iris-hebo.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
The fabulous life of Iris. After a week of total quietness, it was again time to go to work. And to be honest I had no idea of what to expect (probably because I 'forgot' the student manual on 'Focus on Europe today'). So there I was, fully unprepared, waiting for the first lecture to start. N the first 10 minutes had past, I decided to peek by my neighbour to see what was ment to happen. And the following was the idea: Organise an amazing event with your entire class! Yes we got it! Assignment of duties,.

The fabulous life of Iris: Microkrediet
http://iris-hebo.blogspot.com/2008/04/microkrediet.html
The fabulous life of Iris. Some days ago the event Microkrediet took place. My mentor, Ms Hospers, was the head of organizations, and she was nervous! But luckily in the end she pulled it together. You just have to say something! In the beginning, the middle and at the end, so there was absolutely no way you could sneak out! We attended a workshop about HandsOn Microkrediet . The woman who started the company talked about their vision and mission. It was actually really interesting, students can ...After...

The fabulous life of Iris: Non-Governmental Organisations
http://iris-hebo.blogspot.com/2008/03/during-this-semester-we-talk-lot-about.html
The fabulous life of Iris. During this semester we talk a lot about NGO's, Non-Governmental Oranisations. And then I mean, with every course! You have to do a presentations in German, English etc. On the one hand this is so enoying! Over and over again the same subjects! And almost everyone choses the same organisations, e.d. WNF, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Novib and Docters without borders. So at the end of this semester we know everything about all these organisations, even in detail. We talk a...

http://iris-hebo.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
The fabulous life of Iris. Focus on Europe Today. Last week our events took place. Our event was Monday morning at 09:00.We were all extremely nervous. When we all arrived at eight, it seemed that an other class had reserved the same room as we did. After a quick check in our schedule we found out, we were the ones who were wrong. But we remained stubborn, and didn’t move a bit. In the end it all seemed to work out fine. The people left with a smile on their face. And if they smile, we also smile!
