Forest View Rescue Squad relies on donations from the community for the funds needed to operate throughout the year. The Squad also receives some funding from the City, County, and State. Forest View also has active Auxiliary and Junior units that assist the main Squad with fund raising and other support. Approximately 55% of the operating and capital expenses of the Squad comes directly from individuals and businesses in our area. We are a 501(c)(3) corporation and your donation may be tax deductible!

Our volunteers are an integral part of the EMS system in Chesterfield County and the City of Richmond, Virginia. In 1955 nine men met to discuss how to make their neighborhood a safer place to live. The Forest View Volunteer Rescue Squad was formally organized on July 14, 1955. These members purchased an old Buick hearse, which was converted into an ambulance. It was parked next to the squad s new donated building, formally a chicken house . The first president was Mr. R.
