Thursday, October 7, 2010. From reading all the different materials so far in this unit, the one thing that has really stood out to me was the role that upbringing plays regarding race. Hans Huberman in this story gives Liesel not only a caring father and friend but also a positive role model in her life. Teaching her to read greatly impacted her life. Hes a very compassionate man.
