The Literary Hellion

Review: Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke. July 23, 2016. Hiya I’m Bree, I’m an avid reader, and I did not like. I know what you’re thinking. And while you’re not wrong about that disgusting grammar and all (typing out the title pains me more than I’m willing to admit), that’s not, in fact, the only reason this book wasn’t my cup of tea. The rest of my hatred is due fully to the book cover. The people....

Get to Know Me Tag. May 23, 2016. July 23, 2016. Here’s the point where the sensible ones read this post’s title and run away. Anywho, thanks to the lovely Mariana at Book is Glee. Pitiful March Wrap-Up and April TBR. April 2, 2016. July 23, 2016. I blame my lack of any reading whatsoever on Peter Pan, AKA the most disgustingly racist musical I’ve ever been a part of. Because apparently it’s just. To mock American Indians! Har, har, bloody har. Just in case you think I’m joking, here’s a list of the lines our “Native Americans” hollered across the stage like dying cows:. And, of course, various pitches of primal screaming. I read a grand total of three books this month.

Bookish Letdowns of 2015. December 31, 2015. January 2, 2016. While there were so many books I loved this year, there were many I abhorred with a sort of passion, and even more that were so disgusting meh. In fact, I have a lot of big, scary feelings that are dying to get out right about now. This is so hard!

So venture ahead for the long awaited before and after photos. The kitchen is another area that I am very please with. Overall the kitchen improvements were mostly paint ...

I had this one while trying to figure out the best way to live in the camper with a cat. Most blog and boards that I read basically said that campers put the kitty litter box in the shower and then move it when they need to use the shower. Ew! I mean I totally would have done it if needed but still ew. The next post will be the before and after photos!

However the locks that were in place were very rough looking! So I replaced them! Much nicer looking. And a bit larger for that added security. No it’s not going to stop someone who is intent on getting in to my camper but it will dissuade the causal theft who is looking for easy access. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Review: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. August 11, 2015. August 12, 2015. 8220;Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don’t feel anything at all.”. Fairytale retellings are my favorite kind of books and add to that the fact that this is written by Sarah J Maas and I knew I was going to love it. And indeed I did. It definitely had some irritating moments but my overall excitement and enjoyment lessened whatever bad things I felt towards the novel. Moving on to the plot, it progres...

REVIEW: GOLDEN BY JESSI KIRBY. July 12, 2015. July 20, 2015. My rating: 4/5 stars. I started this book with high expectations and I’m more than happy to say that it did not disappoint. And so Parker takes this journal for herself hoping to know more about Julianna and her ‘golden image.’ But. Nothing gold can stay. And reading the journal, Parker forms another image of Julianna in her mind; one who isn’t as flawless as everybody thought she was and she starts to question what. Is it a happy feeling?

April 18, 2015 · 11:26 pm. More painting. Because painting is everything. Painting is life. And the painting is done! It seemed to take forever, and it did take forever but it is done. Here is a bit of the bathroom painted. I have been finishing up the cabinets for the bathroom, kitchen and living room areas. As always the painting is a messy affair! Sometimes I break things while working on the camper. Small things usually, big things occasionally. This is my favorite broken object so far….
