Amanda at WEL: May 2008
http://amandawel.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Http:/ www.bloglines.com/public/amandawel. I already use the RSS function of my personal blog as a feedreader. I like getting everything in one click rather than having to visit a bunch of different websites to see if anybody's updated since I last checked. I added a feed from slowwave.com- it's a site where an artist turns people's dreams into comic strips. He has done three of mine over the years:. Posted by Amanda Coppedge Bosky. Musings of an American Finnish Librarian: November 2008
http://finnlibrarianwebexploration.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Musings of an American Finnish Librarian. Saturday, November 1, 2008. Is anyone going to want to read it? I mean mostly people would want to eat a steak, not read about it. Oh well, who knows, maybe it really is something. I don't think I will find out though. OKAY, I keep reading the titles and now there is a book on Hamburger, Pancake, and Pizza with the subtitle of "A Global History". And I thought the beef book was bad. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Musings of an American Finnish Librarian. Saturday, May 24, 2008. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Saturday, May 17, 2008. Using Blogging in Libraries. For teens I would also suggest public blogs where they can add their experiences of events they attended at the library or books they read, etc. I suppose I was to write down my thoughts about the 7 1/2 habits of highly successful lifelong learners. Musings of an American Finnish Librarian: March 2012
http://finnlibrarianwebexploration.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Musings of an American Finnish Librarian. Thursday, March 1, 2012. Who cares about us Librarians? I am so bothered about this one that I dug out my unused blog! Why do I have such dramatic reaction? I thought offering to do a workshop is a wonderful way to show that I still care about including them regardless of the lack of tact in the comment and have the willingness to go the extra mile to reach out to others and make it easy for them so they don't have to go out of their way. Perhaps I care too m...

Amanda at WEL: Overdrive
http://amandawel.blogspot.com/2008/06/overdrive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2008. One of the best uses for downloadable audiobooks is learning languages, in my opinion. In the past I have downloaded audiobooks from our library to learn the basics of new languages and brush up on the ones I already know. Unlike the CDs you can check them out over and over (whereas if there are holds on your CDs you must return them). Posted by Amanda Coppedge Bosky. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Amanda at WEL
http://amandawel.blogspot.com/2008/07/it-makes-me-sad-to-see-blog-use.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2008. It makes me sad to see blog use tapering off now that 23 Things has come to a close. Hello? Anybody else out there? We are gearing up for Anime Fest here at Wellington. Anime Fest is an all-day celebration of all things anime, kind of like a mini-mini con. It's difficult to find time to work on it in between story times and special programs and typical summer reading program craziness, but we've been planning it since January so we're good to go.
