http://livinginthelandofnod.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Living in the Land of Nod. Stories from a life that's been asleep at the wheel. You know that time of the morning, just before the alarm goes off, when your awake, sorta? I love that part of the morning. Thoughts and images from the past, the present and future swirling inside my head. Here are mine from this morning:. Sounds kinda nutty, kinda crazy, kinda whatthehelldidyoutakebeforeyouwentobedlastnight - but it actually all makes sense. Stay tuned. Links to this post. Are you kidding me? He's my soulma...

Living in the Land of Nod. Stories from a life that's been asleep at the wheel. I was thinking today of all the things that make me smile and thought best to write them down so I don't forget them while I navigate this crazy life I live. Bright colored reading glasses. Homemade pizza truffle and roasted garlic pizza. A smile from a stranger. My son's good days. Kathryn Hepburn/Spencer Tracy movies. Tucking my son into bed at night. Makes perfect sense to me. Sigh One of those memorable moment shot to hell.

Living in the Land of Nod. Stories from a life that's been asleep at the wheel. Put it on," he said as he handed me a small bottle. "Bernadette wears it. It's fabulous! I was suspiciously curious. The bottle was stained dark midnight blue with a gold cap that sat half way down it's length. There was a relief of two entwined snakes on it. I don't understand" I said, "Why are you giving me a perfume that Bernadette wears? Because I just can't get enough of it, and I certainly can't wear it! The weeks turne...

Jane at the garden gate. An urban heirloom garden in the making. Thursday, March 19, 2009. Gardening is a humbling experience. Links to this post. Monday, March 16, 2009. If you've been reading this blog you know I'd been on pins and needles waiting for the clearance to attend a gardening class with Tara of Silver Lake Farms a week or so ago. Lucky me made the cut and today was the day. And oh what a great day it was! I kid you not. Looking back I'm sure it was his passive aggressive way of getting o...

Jane at the garden gate. An urban heirloom garden in the making. Tuesday, April 13, 2010. What A Difference A Year Makes. What was I thinking? A couple of months back I started oh, gee about 100 OR SO seedlings. I figured with my green thumb NOT! That only one seed would actually turn into a plant. The other 99 were insurance. Not problem I thought. I'm going the intensive garden route. Yeah right, there Ms.GreenThumb. So after a couple of days wringing my hands and a couple of evenings soothing my panic...

jane at the garden gate: the simple art of over watering
http://janeatthegardengate.blogspot.com/2009/07/simple-art-of-overwatering.html
Jane at the garden gate. An urban heirloom garden in the making. Sunday, July 5, 2009. The simple art of over watering. Yes, I believe I have actually accomplished the exact opposite of what I set out to do - over water my garden. If not that, then I am perplexed. The tomato plants look weary but the water meter says wet. I'm feeling just a wee discouraged on one hand and on the other, well, a bit like I may possibly be on my way to becoming a real gardner. Why? What's up when your squash won't grow?

http://janeatthegardengate.blogspot.com/2009/12/garden-coach.html
Jane at the garden gate. An urban heirloom garden in the making. Sunday, December 6, 2009. It's been some time since I've posted on this blog and for anyone that is actually still checking in - I apologize. I mean, you can only read about worm castings so many times, right? The summer months were not good to me. After the overwatering fiasco, I experienced drought which was equally devastating to the garden and to my enthusiasum as a green thumb wannabe. Why hadn't I thought of that before? I thought....

living in the land of giants
Living in the land of giants. In this Blog I will share some thoughts on life and some of the adventures I experience. Wednesday, January 31, 2018. I realised that every time I feel the urge to blog again I start by saying it's been a while since my last blog, it's now been 3 years! I apologise for the long silence, however my wife and I celebrate 30 years in the ministry in a few days time and I wanted to put some thoughts to paper so to speak. He was buried with his ancestors. And his body decayed.".

Living In The Land Of Smiles
Living In The Land Of Smiles. Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Funny Things I Heard Them Say. And in response to my Thai aunt (whose English is the Australian brand) when she mentioned Helen's mummy, "That's not right! A mummy is a dead person in Egypt! Oh, thank you, classical education!
