Locavore on Core: Bring-on-the-baby foods
http://locavoreoncore.blogspot.com/2008/08/bring-on-baby-foods.html
Eating Local on Weight Watchers. Wednesday, August 6, 2008. I made a menu full of foods that are supposed to bring on labor last night, but as you can see by the post right now, I am not yet in labor! Still, it was a very tasty day. And this baby is bound to come out sooner or later, but sooner would make me a happy lady. How many weeks are you? Try to keep in mind that the longer you wait and let your body "warm up" the shorter your labor will more likely be! August 7, 2008 at 10:16 AM. 10% (31 lb.)...
Locavore on Core: March 2008
http://locavoreoncore.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Eating Local on Weight Watchers. Monday, March 24, 2008. Daily Menu for March 24. In our tiny garden, I'm just planting a few veggies this time around. I'll be having the new baby in August and don't want to get in over my head with gardening while I'm hugely pregnant or sleepless with a new baby. Applesauce oatmeal (this is easily my favorite breakfast - it keeps me full all morning and is so healthy). Hard cooked eggs and smoked trout with. Green salad, olive oil vinaigrette. 5 Protein - yes. Little sn...
Locavore on Core: Daily Menu for September 7
http://locavoreoncore.blogspot.com/2008/09/daily-menu-for-september-7.html
Eating Local on Weight Watchers. Sunday, September 7, 2008. Daily Menu for September 7. We've been eating up the frozen meals this week - eggplant and pork, moussaka, and bean soup - and tonight we're having meatloaf from the freezer. I'm grateful that I made these in advance! Still trying to get in all the 8 good health guidelines but it's more of a struggle right now, since I don't want to be in the hot kitchen any more than I have to, and I'm too tired to cook! Breakast (a OneLocalSummer meal). Sigh i...

http://locavoreoncore.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Eating Local on Weight Watchers. Monday, February 18, 2008. Beef Stew with root vegetables. I have beef stew bubbling away in the crock pot, smelling mouthwateringly delicious, full of the great Full Belly root vegetables that have been wasting away in my crisper drawer for the past few weeks and tasty Chileno beef. I'll post a picture this evening, but here's the recipe in the meantime. Beef Stew with Root Vegetables. 2 T flour (I used whole wheat from Full Belly Farm). 2-3 T Canola oil. Combine the flo...

Eating Local on Weight Watchers. Monday, June 23, 2008. Millions of Peaches, Peaches for me. and Apricots and Figs, too! A friend e-mailed me yesterday to tell me that her peach tree was full of ripe peaches if we'd like some, and a neighbor offered her all the apricots off of their tree. Plus, she found a fig tree in a parking lot near her house. So Jax and I will be picking fruit this week to freeze for smoothies and fruit crisps throughout the year. Yum! Monday, June 16, 2008. 1-2 T olive oil. 1 onion...

If those really were the question submitted by ordinary, everyday people. they must be people who haven't watched anything about the election yet. The questions were so repeptitive and the answers even more so. Did you learn anything new? After 30 minutes I didn't and turned it off. New favorite- www.politifact.com. I like that you can click on each person and see their stance. and where they've flip flopped etc. They're Mostly good about staying neutral. Off key in Music City. 8226; We found McCain was ...
Training Mr. Right: The Temptation of the Night Jasmine
http://trainingmrright.blogspot.com/2009/03/temptation-of-night-jasmine.html
The Temptation of the Night Jasmine. Since my knowldge of agriculture is limited to the fact that milk comes from cows, and cows say "moo" (thank you Fisher-Price), I didn't have much to contribute on that topic.". The Temptation of the Night Jasmine. As with the previous books in Willig's botanically named series the Night Jasmine is original and at times captivating despite her Harvard tendencies to talk down to the audience (especially during the modern setting) and superfluous writing.

I tried to enable the mobile posting so that I could post from my crackberry. But for some reason the posts aren't making it. Believe it or not I thought I had posted a few times. Darn technology! I'm totally sick. It's icky. I either have food poisoning, swine flu, or I'm pregnant. I better not be pregnant. H will be getting the Big V if I'm pregnant with an IUD. Tee hee. I've been working with Amassa. Is kicking my b-u-t-t! I meet with her twice a week, do weights once a week on my own, and cardio.
Training Mr. Right: All better
http://trainingmrright.blogspot.com/2009/03/all-better.html
The kids are finally better after doctor's visits and hospital visits (for Gracie) and x-rays and antibiotics. Finally they are back in preschool and- hopefully- happier because they don't feel like crap as much as they did. BUT- they've been sharing their germs. I freeze 24/7 inside the house with clothes and socks and extra sweatshirts. still freezing. Brrrrr. Thankfully no fever so far- but I feel the nastiness in my chest when I'm walking on the treadmill. Big hugs to all my gals having H issues!

And on that note. Be looking for two new blogs that are in the makings:. After the finishing touches are done on the blogs any and all political talk will be moving to The Armchair Politician where I will not be mincing any words and will be writing from a true Moderates point of view. Imagine it the product of a Katie Couric/ Sean Hannity union. Baby Mine will be a blog of stationary designs. Dude- It's their job. Now I know you know I. I've finally found an idea that doesn't have twenty million other books out there. And I'm totally going to use it at tax time to write off some horsey crazy-ness! If you're not into horses you probably know (or think) that the hobby is incredibly expensive and only for the uber well off. Not true, not true! There are ways to be thrifty and there are areas you absolutely must NOT skimp on. I'm an expert! I would love to have this book. Ive had horses all my life and there are tons of ways to save.

So you may have noticed that I haven't been posting as much. If you really want to stay up to date with me you should be on facebook. I'm addicted to facebook. I'm trying to be good and stay up with myspace so that would be a second option. In keeping with the diet and fitness obsession I seem to have contracted (like a friggin disease) I'm going to start posting my food diary here. I figure if you guys SEE when I'm bad then I'll be less likely to go through that drive-thru! At this moment in time I have...

Real Easy. Vegetarian. Gathered from the net, friends, family, and a twenty-year-old collection of cookbooks. Saturday, February 13, 2010. Tonight's dinner, mostly using stuff from our CSA bag, was excellent, and easy to make:. It was mostly vegan just because of the little bit of butter we had on the squash. This is a version of a meal we've had many times before. Links to this post. Sunday, February 7, 2010. Eating with the Seasons CSA. We just joined Eating with the Seasons. An SF Bay Area CSA.

This blog will hopefully serve as a resource for people in the north NJ/NYC metro area who are interested in pursuing a 100 mile diet and eat more locally available food, without being overbearing! I plan to talk about gardening (specifically mine), food preservation, farm markets and cooking with a slant to apartment dwellers. Sunday, April 27, 2008. Wow, its been a while! I had no idea I abandoned my blog for nearly 2 months! I typically have a lot of irons in the fire, and they caught up to me I guess!

This year the Girl Scout Samoa cookie is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In celebration, the annual Girl Scout Cookie Recipe Contest is all about Samoas. Until I started playing around with coconut and caramel, I have to admit I was definitely a Thin Mint. Person, although I'd never turn down a Tagalong. 2 cups heavy cream. 1 box Samoa cookies.
