I see my roles as an advocate for its protection, an educator by giving public slide presentations and occasional email reports about the mountain (to almost 700 people), a chronicler with a long-term book project with tons of history, and a recorder of change and beauty with my photography. It began when we moved into Dallas in 1992 from the Metroplex suburbs, and bought a 1930's era stone embellished Tutor bungalow which we named Tres Tulipanes due to the three tulip pattern in the leaded glass windows.
