Life in the between…. I got inked…. Asymp; 7 Comments. After long consideration and attempts to imagine myself as the 80-year-old woman with ink on her arm, I just went for it. Remember all my gushing about the Fiddler’s Gun/Fiddler’s Green books? And the story unfolds…revealing how we can turn it beautiful or allow it to run a destructive course. Shameless plug: Buy the books at the Rabbit Room. Best choice) or on Amazon. If you must). *. It’s a story I want to carry with me for forever. Next post →.

“What turned you against the church?” | this | liminality

Life in the between…. 8220;What turned you against the church? Asymp; 1 Comment. Living in such a predominantly Christian area, just about everybody goes to church at this place or that, so it tends to come up in a lot of conversations. Dinner last night, with a couple from work, was no exception. It did go beyond those initial questions of. Where do you go to church? What is it like there? What turned you against the church? The Church or even just church. I don’t think I’m even turned. These are all me...

For Death | this | liminality
https://kingdomstrider.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/for-death
Life in the between…. Asymp; 2 Comments. After a long day at work. Three “claims” calls – individuals calling in to let the company know that their loved one has passed away. One was a woman in her late thirties. Her husband died four days ago. What kind of hell is it to wake up these past three mornings in a world where one you love is no longer there and you are a single mother of two children? From the moment you were born,. Your death has walked beside you. Though it seldom shows its face,. Next post...

Friday, December 28, 2007. Asleep at the wheel. It's an 18 hour drive for me to get home. Give me 18:05, I'll be at your door. I've been waiting so long to see your face. I've been waiting so long to put my hands around your waist. It's an 18 hour drive back to Omaha. And the whole way in my mind, I'll be singing our song. I've been waiting so long. I want to see you again. I'm homesick for lovers that never love back. I'll keep holding my breath until my lungs turn black. I am Don Juan. I am Don Quixote.

Wednesday, October 3, 2007. My bed smells too much like me. My lips taste too much like my mouth. My eyes know too well the mirror. While all the while I'd rather be staring you down. My mouth knows too well the frown. My heart knows too well the beat. It's been laying a somber march for years. What a tired old drummer he is. But oh what new music his ears yearn to hear. What sweet funky bassline he longs be near. This life's like a junior high dance. And I'm sick of dancing alone. Posted by JD Hooton.

Responsiblity: The ethical recognition of obligation and accountability for attitudes and actions. Also, that for which one is responsible. Grace: Unmerited favor. The First of the Lasts. I have several friends here now who ask me daily to stay and why would I, why would anyone, want to move to Texas? They are going through the same process that I am and doing some grieving. My parents have become almost clingy in the last few weeks as I've been getting ready to go. September 28, 2007 at 11:47:00 AM GMT-4.
