We had a little trouble getting a prober vacuum, due to leaking seams. I think I will glue the overlaps of the seams in the future. I use 400 gm2 inside and 600 gm2 outside. How many times I used these. Over and over . The bag is used at least 5 times. I cut a bag at least 20 cm larger than the table, so I can with a firm snap pull it. Since it is the best to pull off. The panels can be a bit tricky to lift from the table. My first plan was to finish paintjob now but I find that it may be easier to do float together with beams when they are joined together. Links to this post. The planking of the lower hull is now ready to fit HD inserts , short for high density ( hard foam 200 kg/m3). These pieces are used everywhere compression will occur, like fitting locations, but also along keel for trailering loads. It has been a while but well worth it. We launched at Martha Cove in Melbourne with family and friends around to witness the event. I have decided to call the boat "Shockwave". I was going to make a carbon fibre pole, but after much deliberation, I have decided to go with aluminium. With a bearing at the both ends of the tube the pole is a neat sliding fit. Work and other bits and pieces have taken a lot of my spare time. At least I have been able to do a few things. After much debate I decided that since I was making the daggerboard rudder and box that I would also alter the transom to suit. So I made the transom support bracket and cut a big hole in the cockpit floor.

Just a little blog to pass on some info during the build of my Farrier F82R in Australia. Saturday, March 31, 2012. An important item but where to put it. I decided that it would best to access this from the cockpit. I used some 25mm blue foam. I cut each panel to fit and then glassed one side on the bench. I used a bit more epoxy as I wanted a good sealed finish. I then glued them in place and taped all the seams. The inner was made and fitted after the sheets were fitted to back of the compartment.

This is just before filling with bog to allow fixing of the light as well as putting the wire inside the bow wing. By putting the wing so far forward i will be able to run my nets further forward just to be able to give me a bit more foredeck area. The sail track in the mast section will do just fine. It has been a while but the painting is finished and I am ready to load back on trailer. I am very pleased with the Durepox paint that was used. The clear coat over the white is extremely hard. 2nd float will be attached today. Mast is painted and will be fitted next week. Need to clean the interior up and then add some water. The building of the Ian Farrier designed F82R trimaran. Friday, June 22, 2012. Rebuild of a F25 daggerboard. For my fellow trimaran owner/builder Per Folm Hansen I made an attempt to rebuild an older daggerboard to a High aspect shape that is Larry Wood that gave me the idea. Here I stripped the old glass from the foam/wood core after cutting to the new shape. I had to make a new carbonstringer that is build from normal and HD foam, then wrapped tight with two layer og 300 g/m 45/45 and infused with epoxy.
