The good news- it didn't take a lot to get her into costume. Asian female? Measuring tape and in cushion? Saturday, May 2, 2015. Nine months into piano lessons and today was Maddy's first piano recital. No Mozart, mind you, but she continues to enjoy playing and seems to have made some good strides. In watching the other kids in her cohort perform, she is about where one could hope- not the best but better than many. At first, she was incredibly nervous, which was a bit of surprise given how confident she was at past dance recitals, but once she got up and played. She did a fine job! We are so proud of her.

The Jabber On Jasper. Monday, July 19, 2010. Camping With The Cousins. We made a road trip out to northern Idaho to visit Jasper's cousins Lucia and Amelie, where we stayed in a secluded cabin. It was the first time we'd seen 3-1/2 year old Lucia in a year and the first time ever seeing 9 month old Amelie. The cousins were a bit shy at first but it didn't take long for them to begin playing trucks, sharing books and tickling each other. Then I went into hyper drive and sewed up around 60 bags so that I could wrap the presents we have. So here are the presents on the bed and then I sorted and wrapped up most of the girls gifts. Our Stories by the sea. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Week two in review. Toni, Michael and Willow headed home to Edinburgh and as sad as it was to see them go they were ready to head home and have a normal routine back again. Hopefully next time they are home to stay! Hard to imagine that Aiden. Is Toni's son here in the photo he is so tall! Willow went all shy and was sad to be leaving. Hopefully once this month is over and I have some more structure then I will feel like I am not constantly drowning!
