The island of Madeira ( the wood island) was discovered in 1419 by João Gonçalves Zarco and Trisão Vaz Teixeira. The uninhabited archipelago was immediately attached to the Portuguese Crown. Het Weer op Madeira. October 5th, 2011 4 comments. In maart 2008 vertelde ik over de geboorte van een tunnel tussen Arco de Calheta en Madalena do Mar. Nu het is een lange bevalling geweest, maar vandaag ben ik er doorheen gereden! Gisteren is het 1e gedeelte opengegaan, het gedeelte boven langs Madalena do Mar moet nog verder afgemaakt worden.
