This event has humans dress their Dachshunds up in hot dog costumes and - yup, you guessed it - race them. Obviously, a genius came up with this idea and ran with it! They definitely make me smile! Running of the wieners. And I'll be...

a blog about the little things: Thriftshop Zoo
http://www.teachickadees.com/2014/04/thriftshop-zoo.html
A blog about the little things. I went thrifting the other day, and came home with a zoo! All those little critters you see in the blue dish came in one plastic bag. I didn't even know what all was in the bag, I just saw the giraffe and the cat and thought, how cute! Can you imagine my delight when in that same little plastic bag there was a zoo-full of animals? A mama seal and its baby, a cocker spaniel and its two babies, the giraffe, the cat, a polar bear, an ostrich! Ah the thrill of the thrift!

Thoughts, comments, images and reflections from the people who bring you BeansAboutIt [dot] com. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. I'm looking at a box labeled ‘Liquor is quicker’ – a reminder of my upbeat, tongue-in-cheek attitude during an earlier move. I'd read Philip K. Dick's ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep’ that year, which inspired me to label several of my boxes ‘kipple.’. It was the last business day before the Memorial Day weekend, and perhaps that company's last day as a DirecTV installer. No ma...
