Climbing to the High Calling. Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD.He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." Micah 4:2. Thursday, April 17, 2014. Reading A Book of a Thousand Days. Coming to a tropical island while my mid-western home is surrounded by snow has so many benefits, especially when each morning I'm greeted by the happiest 4 children I've ever met in the early hours of dawn! Book of a Thousand Days. I liked how she thought through the commands, clarifying right or...

Climbing to the High Calling. Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD.He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." Micah 4:2. Saturday, March 15, 2014. Trusting a Faithful God. A NEW Biblical Fiction. OK I admit it. I like reviewing new books. I love the smell of ink on the pages, the feel of stiff paper before use does its damage, and it gives a certain pleasure to be the first one to bend back the cover so a book never really closes tightly again! Even more than reviews though, ...

Climbing to the High Calling. Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD.He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." Micah 4:2. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Hidden within the disputations of the book of Malachi are the rich tidbits of God's history with his people! First place we visited was Jacob. And his relationship with God. We climbed into the children's overlooked foothills protecting this sacred meadow of righteousness, and found they had a Broken Vow. Redeemed Dust Shines as Stars.

Climbing to the High Calling. Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD.He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." Micah 4:2. Friday, October 25, 2013. In Covenant with God. My life is truly a season for THANKSGIVING! Coming in human form, Jesus Christ bridged a path for a LOVE relationship with God and Covenant was sealed with His blood on the cross of Calvary. My favorite words, "I call you my Friend.". Lately, there's been reviews telling of best sellers books which try to dise...

Climbing to the High Calling. Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD.He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." Micah 4:2. Thursday, March 27, 2014. There are times when a book sticks with me and characters or circumstances are recalled often as fleeting thoughts or helpers in choices I must make in daily life. Taught me patience that I may not have had without its shared knowledge. Had he squandered anything? Had he shared the Gospel plainly? He shared some of his fears and ho...

My corner soapbox for showcasing fabric pieces sewn, quilted, or hand-stitched in the peaceful moments of a very blessed life. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Even though worn out erasers reminded of my old persistent math teacher, I dutifully bent once again over the fractions and geometrical shapes scratched on my graph paper. He had never quite convinced me of math talent, but through his many practice sheets, at least he gave some knowledge on how to figure out a new block for my quilt! This little HST mad...

My corner soapbox for showcasing fabric pieces sewn, quilted, or hand-stitched in the peaceful moments of a very blessed life. Monday, September 30, 2013. Autumn breezes chill the room as they gently shuffle the sheer curtains bordering the open windows and draw my attention to the vapor lifting off my steaming hot mug of comforting and aromatic coffee. The steam's disappearance causes me to compare how quickly September has evaporated from our lives. The pleasant voice from an audio book played out dram...
