Marathoning for 30
Sunday, August 29, 2010. It has been quite some time since my last update, and I apologize! I started this blog thinking I'd be posting after most runs, and well, that obviously hasn't happened. I did have quite an adventure when running my 12 mile run last weekend. I met Matt halfway for fresh, cold water and a little pit stop. Well, my run was going GREAT. I was feeling good, and pumped. Then, well, here's an email I wrote to some friends. This weekend I had some girlfriends visiting but my friend Terr...

Arielle Nadine Moretto
Welcome to our world! She is surprisingly strong. She can already hold her head up and track your face. if she wakes up for you that is. There has been a little confusion about how to pronounce her name, so I thought I would give a short explanation. Arielle is of Hebrew origin and means Lioness of God. The A in her name makes the same sounds that a doctor asks you to make when you stick your tongue out so the name sounds like ah-ree-el as apposed to air-ee-el. A note about her name.

I'm an average-sized mother-of-one with very little free time on my hands, who decided to run a marathon just four years after I first pulled on a pair of running shoes, ran less than half a mile, and promptly threw up in the Manchester ship canal. This blog is my thoughts on long-distance running - the pain, the endurance, the motivation and, definitely most importantly, the joy. This week I got some...

I Eat, Therefore I Run
Saturday, June 4, 2011. Coming back with a renewed attitude. It was literally all down hill for me in the second half. My five minutes 'in the bank' at the half lead to a defecit of at least 14 minutes on my finishing time. I also felt really crappy and struggled to keep a forward motion. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Salt Lake City Marathon. Here I am in the bright yellow shirt approaching the finish line. Official finishing time: 3:13:50. Age group placing: 15/114. Sunday, April 10, 2011. I also had a frien...

Marathoning To The Finish
Marathoning To The Finish. My path to qualifying for the Boston Marathon while living the life of a DPT student. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Coming Back From Injury and Getting Back to Business. It is just not for me. Not at all. Not to mention this weekend was Thanksgiving. Just to show the dangers of the evening, this is my making of pumpkin pie. Over the weeks, I have tried to say get back to working out properly and eating well. It has been difficult. Well no more! Here is the link to my new routine.
