Donderdag, oktober 08, 2009. De belangrijkste feestdag in India is weer in aantocht: Diwali. Diwali wordt dit jaar gevierd op 17 oktober dus we hebben nog even. Maar bij ons liggen de pakjes met 'made in India' sterretjes al klaar. Gisteren hebben we er een paar op het balkon aangestoken. Zie de foto. Via mijn Nederlandse internetbankier-pakketje maak ik regelmatig geld over van mijn Nederlandse rekening naar het buitenland. Kopje koffie erbij, inloggen, rekeningnummer invullen, bedrag, naam, code van de bank. Hupsakee, verzenden maar. Ik blij, de ontvanger blij en de bank blij. 1 werk in het buitenland. 3 verzorging van familie in het buitenland. Meestal kies ik voor optie drie. Application for drawal of foreign exchange'.

Dinsdag, oktober 28, 2008. Dit jaar geen kerstkaart maar een Diwali kaart. Het is trouwens langzaam aan het afkoelen in Mumbai. Volgens mij is het nu nog maar 34 graden buiten in plaats van de 37 graden van vorige week. Ik zag dat in Nederland de warme sokken aan mogen in bed. Brrrr. En dan moet de winter nog beginnen. Interesting facts about Sydney. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. The city itself is not very attractive. There is a big lake which is nice. Despite a few attempts we were not able to find a city centre. The other thing was that we didn't see a lot of people. Because of the long weekend many people must have left the town to visit friends and family elsewhere.
