About Archaeology in Marlow. Where is the Roman Road in Marlow? The history of the name Warren Wood is somewhat surprising. A Warren was originally an animal enclosure, not just for rabbits. Interestingly there was a Warren Baronetcy of Little Marlow – which was created on 1 June 1775 for the naval commander and politician John Borlase Warren.
