Building Update – new blocks and roof extension to cover Lilley’s work. June 10, 2015. To recap, the building work conducted by Martin Lilley was so poor that we have had to cover it up with a new layer of block work. This required new footings and, in addition means having to take out and refit all of the downstairs windows. In addition, we have had to extend the roof. February 23, 2015. In July 2013 we asked a local business referral. Network if they could recommend someone to undertake remodelling work on our house. They suggested Martin Lilley, who runs a building company called Gecco. We feel badly let down by this builder – who billed himself as ‘On Your side. Running each building project from your perspective’. We have put this website together so that other people considering whether to use Lilley can take a look at this site and to draw their own conclusions.

We would like to point out however that the sub-contractors referenced at the end of the letter do not include the suppliers of the steel frame or the oak atrium, both of which were supplied pre-fabricated.
