Morton’s of Chicago. 和某人慶祝生日去，選中這裏，是看過好多食評都說生日在這裏的體驗不錯云云，於是就預早個多星期訂位啦。在網上訂位不久，便收到餐廳打來確認訂位 and 壽星的名字，非常快手！倒是入座是有點亂子。訂了八點半的座，最後早了半小時到，去到門口 counter 是沒人的；過了酒吧入到餐廳位置才有侍應驚覺. 我們的存在，我說明了自己的情況，第一位侍應看也沒看便說「真係要八點半先有檯喎」，fine，我請她替我們看一下，兩秒後走來第二位侍應，再多問一次便立刻帶我們去 dining area，原來檯早已預留給我們啦 - 桌上早就擺著 birthday menu！囧. 先要了一個 seafood platter for 2. 吃完一道再上一道， lobster bisque. 主菜在侍應的推介之下選了 22oz bone in rib eye. Sides 只要了一款 hash brown. 主菜過後侍應拿著甜品 samples 讓我們選擇，可我們的撐得吃不下啦...

Saturday, September 7, 2013. 跟友人吃飯，他喜歡吃素食，想起這家新開不久的店，評價滿不錯，找天來試試也好，反正鄙人對蔬菜／素食一類也不抗拒，甚或其實係幾喜歡添。訂座的時候折騰一會才有位，到餐廳才知道原來格局是一大張長檯＋兩張四人小桌，我們兩位，自然是坐在長檯一角了啦。 Menu 除了一般那款，也寫在黑板上，還有好些 off menu 的菜式寫上去啦。 Salad 類要了這個 herbivores salad. 78)，材料有生菜、梨、火龍果、西柚之類，全部都新鮮清爽，dressing 是也下了果汁，難得味道足夠也不單調，質素非常不錯，不過分量多一點的話就更好啦。主菜之一要了 the melting pot. 48)，一小砵的分量，薯仔稍稍煎香再混上香草 (不就是 herby potatoes 嘛⋯)，沒多下調味，香草也帶得出薯仔的香甜，簡單卻好吃的一道。另外的 main dish 要了 truffles carbonara. Thursday, November 15, 2012. 跟 D 小姐慶祝生日，我和她都在灣仔上班，就選了某個下午，在這間大家都未試過、但又開了差不多一年的餐廳吃飯去。第一次試用 openrice 上面的網上訂座功能，午飯前也有打電話來 re-confirm，大家也好像會感覺安心一點。要了兩份午市定食，前菜是沙拉，感覺很像吃草 (？)，蔬菜有點乾，種類也少；和風芝麻醬下得不夠多，吃起來沒甚麼味道。定食分類基本上是魚生飯 or 熟食定食刺身，這幾片刺身是 D 小姐那份套餐的，看上去有點乾，不過吃的那位說赤身沒有筋，質素不錯云云。 D 小姐的鰻魚飯，鰻魚的分量相當大，試了少許，食味正常，不算太有亮點。這餐廳分兩層，地下的座位只得十個，那天我們坐的閣樓，座位數目也差不多，不過閣樓的樓底偏低，環境比較嘈，侍應走上走落其實都幾氣喘。買單約 $240，以魚生飯的價位來說不算貴，質素中上的一家餐廳呀。 Bespoke Coffee and KC Coffee. 先說 Bespoke，是某個閒日 tea time 的時候闖進去，那時全場...Cake and co...

Cafe Italiano - 做節飯。做節。中餐定必人多到不得了，於是轉戰西餐，吃甚麼好呢，某人想起這家這陣子他吃過不錯的西餐廳，想來這餐廳在好久以前也吃過，感覺相當不錯，這次再來，不知道又能否保持得到？在網上先訂了座，店家不大，來到時只餘兩三張空桌，不會太嘈吵，是個適合聊天的餐廳呀。 Appetizer 之一，是這個 Braised pork belly with walnut bread，味道帶甜，pork belly 沒想像中的膩口，吃著吃著，竟讓我想起梅菜蒸肉餅，哈哈。walnut bread 先烘過才上桌，入口也是帶甜，合桃在烘過之後變得更香脆，好好吃！最後我們還 encore 多一籃 walnut bread 吃啦。 Parma ham with green bell pepper pizza，餅底薄脆，感覺像吃餅乾一樣，parma ham 的分量正常，入口也鹹香油潤，倒不太吃得到 bell pepper 的味道&#...65292;於是又後加了一隻 Roast French spri...
