First thing we met Carissa, Ben and Andrew at Glenwood Hot Springs, 3 hours west of Denver for a night to enjoy the hot springs. Ok On to the cabinet refinishing. The *Fanciful* Life of the Vance's. September 27, 2013. I had SO much fun decorating the nursery! The theme is whale/nautical. I love the bright teal/aqua blue we picked for the walls. It makes me smile every time I walk into the room! This is the sign I made with Ben’s help! Ben made this really neat clock from a ship’s wheel we bought! Ben also made this cool shelf with knotted rope! Dad did an amazing job on the dresser for little guy! All organized and ready! Chest with all the blankets for baby boy.

The *Fanciful* Life of the Vance's. July 25, 2013. This was one project I really, REALLY enjoyed. I loved creating the pattern for the quiet book and adding the creative touches! A lot of work, but fun! Since my nursery is a whale/nautical theme, I did an under the sea quiet book. The seahorse’s fins flap open. The jellyfish has a zipper which hides two baby jellyfish. The tentacles are lots of fun ribbons! The whale is soft to the touch with fleece and minky fabric. The turtle hides in his shell. Create...

The *Fanciful* Life of the Vance's. July 25, 2013. After much deliberation, I decided on the design and fabric for my diaper bag. I love Amy Butler’s Treasure Box Lark. I made my Amy Butler Weekender Bag. From this fabric and still love it after almost a year of use. And to my delight, this fabric is available in laminated cotton! The problem was finding it in stock! I searched and searched and finally found it from an online quilting shop. The laminated cotton will be durable and easy to keep clean!
