NZ and Spain – The Trips. Auckland to L.A. April 16, 2007 at 10:23 am. We are now resting after viewing the city. And having a meal down by the harbour. Was in a great spot, just next to the Waitangi treaty grounds. So we visited the site and the centre, saw the video, and have a much better idea about the Maori /settler history. The long boats are amazing, hard to imagine them canoing from the Polynesian islands 100 at a time, men that is….Hope to continue from Mick’s all for now folks. On 2010 in review.

The plane arrived via Stansted a bit late, the girls enjoyed the running around space of the apartment, the novelty of the balcony and spanish TV. First day was spent making friends in Albir, and searching for sea glass and heart shaped pebbles. Benidorm looked impressive from the sea with the mountains. Fill in...

Have just been reminded by the family that there has not been a post in over a week, which has been mainly the week of Chris’s stay. Can you believe that we were both suffering from flu type colds, and spending half days in bed? NZ and Spain – The Trips. April 13, 2010 at 2:12 pm. This has been an unusual week, in terms of the unexpected. We had a sponsored walk up the Bernia mountains on Friday – we were sponsoring John and Julie’s grandaughter aged 15, who does not like walking, but who needed to raise at least 100 euros for charity. She actually zoomed up the mountain -and down,while the less energetic had several stops to admire the view. This was hardly surprising as a couple of hikers were 78. and 82,. Only four more weeks.

I have had more trips to new places, and fabulous meals out, than I would have in a year at home!
