About the Mid-Atlantic Vipassana Association. In 2004 a Summit was held in Maryland to bring all of these regions together to plan the work of establishing more and more courses in this area. This has culminated in 2005 in the creation of a Trust to organize further Vipassana activities in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Mid-Atlantic Vipassana Trust is a registered, non-profit, charitable organization whose sole purpose is to provide Vipassana courses to the public.
