Jolynn and Rich's Russian Adoption Story. Sunday, August 1, 2010. Having a fantastic Summer! He has moved to the big boy bed now. Still potty training but that is just fine with us. Everyone is doing Great! My sweet sister had a baby this past week and he is so precious at 5 lbs and 17 1/2". Just a lil peanut and so loved. Hope everyone is having a great Summer! Thursday, January 28, 2010. On January 7th, Sophie and I celebrated Russian Christmas. I was so sick, so I didn't get to do everything I wanted. It was just me, Sophie and my mom celebrating. To the best of my ability and knowledge, I tried to honor this Russian celebration. Sophie and I plan to celebrate Russian Christmas each year. The traditional table set up:. The white table cloth represents Jesus' swaddling. The candle symbolizes Jesus as the Light of the World. It just about doesn't fit her anymore.
