Random Thoughts from Grimmauld Place

Random Thoughts from Grimmauld Place. May 24th, 2010. This guy really seems to like water-related music as much as I do :-). Posted at 09:37 pm. Jun 4th, 2007. Another week, another song lyrics meme. The rules, as usual, are: 1 point for the correct song title, 1 point for the singer, no Googling. There is no common theme or link this time, except that they're all songs I like! All comments will be screened. 1 Let me reach, let me beach on the shores of Tripoli. 2 Thursday, I don't care about you. While ...

Powered by LiveJournal.com. Tuesday morning:start to notice the occasional contraction in back/tightening across stomach. assume braxton hicks. Friday afternoon: attempt to hurry bub up with every technique we've been told ab...

Yay me! - My Life on (and off) Ice
http://mrs-redboots.livejournal.com/119532.html
What I've just said. My Life on (and off) Ice. Aug 14th, 2007 at 8:44 PM. Yay me, because it's only Tuesday evening and I've already written Sunday's sermon! Of course, the service won't get finished until Friday, as that is when A is coming round, so I'll do it with her and show her how I do it. But the major task is done, praise be! And I am drinking a very nice Merlot - okay, it's not Chateau Margaux, but what is? And I am about to go and cook some pasta to go with it! 9 said something Reply to this.

A German in Scotland. I'm back reading, thanks to the Eljay app on my phone. Currently clambering out of a suicidal depression, am now becoming human again after a difficult month. Posted on Jun. 3rd, 2012 at 10:01 pm. Good to see you :). Posted on Jun. 3rd, 2012 10:14 pm (UTC). If you ever need to talk, you know where to find me, yes? Posted on Jun. 3rd, 2012 10:52 pm (UTC). I hope the days only get better from this point on 3. Posted on Jun. 3rd, 2012 11:28 pm (UTC). Good to see you back :-).

Dare You To Move
http://callistahogan.livejournal.com/tag/writing
Dare You To Move. Jun 4th, 2012. The authors Ive been reading recently - C. S. Lewis, Erin Morgenstern, Vikram Seth - have such a way with words. It takes my breath away. Their stories are all so different, their lives diverge in innumerable ways, and yet, there is much of that same skill. I find myself stopping, rereading passages, just to focus on the beauty of their words. That passage I quoted is too lovely for words, dont you think? It's a kiss that sits upon her lips*. Credibile quia ineptum - The Rise and Fall of a PoMo Space Messiah
http://the-g-man.livejournal.com/169047.html
The Rise and Fall of a PoMo Space Messiah. God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh. My del.icio.us. Is simply. amusing. How the hell anyone manages to maintain a Christian faith without a sense of humour I have no idea. That would explain it. How you make us want to eviscerate you in a most un-Christian fashion! A word or 4. If there is a God, he sure has a sense of comic timing. Edited at 2009-01-09 08:25 (UTC). Is there a Christian Fashion for evisceration?

Did you see. - A Journey to the Source of the Nile. An duine og is a chail ne dhiadh. 10:44 am June 22nd, 2014. Did you hear about the March Against Austerity yesterday? I didn't hear about that! Somewhere between ten and fifty thousand people - the Metropolitan Police are refusing to provide an estimate - marched from the BBC headquarters to Parliament, where they held a speaker meeting. Given where it started, you can't say the BBC didn't notice. Oh dear. Still, there’s always Pravda and Al-Jazeera.

Drive by updates are my life style now - Thats the street name. The Bitch Who Knew She Owned The Moon. 03:12 pm February 18th, 2015. Drive by updates are my life style now. I really don't know who still uses these spaces. I get tempted to come back just for the ability to lock individual posts and have communities. But it only works if lots of people come back with me. Anyway, this is pretty much to announce that I'm writing a one shot in the Swords of Sorrow series with Dynamite Comics. And yay, LJ!

The Quest of the Parrot Knight
http://parrot-knight.livejournal.com/tag/politics
July 16th, 2015 (11:30 pm). I intend to complete the BBC charter review questionnaire. But was struck by how little I really know about the principles guiding (or purporting to guide) the BBC and how they have changed over time. The BBC Trust website maintains a handy archive of past and present BBC charters. To chart this process and help provide some (but my no means all) of the answers to the (admittedly largely rhetorical) questions raised in the media in the last few days. Stories in Many Fandoms. Welcome to thedas, wish you were here. July 31st, 2015. I got to wax a little bit poetic about JK Rowling and Harry Potter over in Adventures in YA Publishing. Today That was a lot of fun. In case you didn't know, I got my start in fanfiction in the Harry Potter world, and went on to fame and fortune as a beta reader and staff member at the now-defunct Sugar Quill, where I had the (now-embarrassing) screen name Lady Narcissa. I didn't know any better at the time! Whats in a name?
