Slapdash: Eloise
http://slapdashdoc.blogspot.com/2015/08/e-eloise.html
Just some slapdash thoughts that have very little to do with anything and a lot to do with everything. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Our little girl a walking bruise. She's convinced she can do anything her brother does. Sometimes that's true. And other times, like during couch gymnastics today, it turns out that she's less coordinated than she thinks. This wasn't even the last time she needed an ice pack today. We're thinking about having her wear a helmet. At least while she's awake anyway. St Paul, MN.

Just some slapdash thoughts that have very little to do with anything and a lot to do with everything. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. This is probably cheating on the Gratitude Image Challenge, but look! This year is 5th for the all time number of blog posts by Slapdash in one year! It's been a busy June, but I'm even hoping to pick up the blogging pace in July. Buckle up. Monday, June 29, 2015. Everything about this picture makes me grateful. Saturday, June 20, 2015. Sunday, June 14, 2015. Watching Sam watch P...

Slapdash: February 2015
http://slapdashdoc.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Just some slapdash thoughts that have very little to do with anything and a lot to do with everything. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Chasing the Clouds Away. I've mentioned Sam's sensitive disposition when it comes to TV shows. Basically the most seemingly benign incident can terrify the child. Last week we were watching Sesame Street. I wasn't really paying attention to the show but figured we couldn't go wrong with Sesame Street. I mean, Sesame Street. Accused Cookie of stealing the painting. One featu...

Port Wing Passages: August 2014
https://portwingpassages.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Some of our points and perspectives as innkeepers and inhabitants of Port Wing, Wisconsin. Sunday, August 31, 2014. Brats, bands and blue ribbons! Well, this is it! The BIG Labor Day weekend in Port Wing, Wisconsin. On Saturday we had the 56th Annual Fish Boil put on all these years by the Port Wing Baseball Club. And on Sunday- today- we had the 63rd Annual South Shore Lions Club Fall Festival put on, of course, by the Lions Club. We brought blueberry and pecan pies. Here is a car full of four of our lo...

Slapdash: Boxes
http://slapdashdoc.blogspot.com/2015/08/b-boxes.html
Just some slapdash thoughts that have very little to do with anything and a lot to do with everything. Friday, August 07, 2015. That's what our awesome UPS man said when he delivered the Boxes yesterday. It might be time to cut back on the online shopping. I endorse all online shopping. Also, is your UPS driver named Tom? The driver who used to deliver packages to my office when it was in your neighborhood was the best. Tell him I say hello. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). St Paul, MN.

Port Wing Passages: June 2015
https://portwingpassages.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Some of our points and perspectives as innkeepers and inhabitants of Port Wing, Wisconsin. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Love these summer days! We made a quick trip to Duluth today and didn't even have a doctor's appointment or a prescription to pick up. Yes! But on the way home we came upon this little "gaze" of baby raccoons. Yes, I just looked it up. A group of raccoons. Is called a "gaze." There was no sign of Mom so no idea what happened to them after we passed by. Pretty cute though! After mowing we too...

Port Wing Passages: September 2014
https://portwingpassages.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Some of our points and perspectives as innkeepers and inhabitants of Port Wing, Wisconsin. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. An autumnal equinox to remember! Sometime last week I googled "first day of autumn" to see on which day it fell this year. And I was surprised! First day of fall on the 23rd? That's rather unusual, isn't it? Shouldn't it be the 21st or 22nd? And it's probably because of all the rain we've had, but there's such a variety of mushrooms, including these little orange ones. Even the wild one...

Port Wing Passages: December 2014
https://portwingpassages.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Some of our points and perspectives as innkeepers and inhabitants of Port Wing, Wisconsin. Monday, December 29, 2014. Time for the Christmas Bird Count! For the third year in a row, we are participating in the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count. That's Lake Superior WAY up there to the north. And we saw this coyote, also not on our route. He was sitting right by the road like he was someone's pet and didn't run away until after we drove by. The angle of the sun gave everything a reddish tint. The second...

Slapdash: Foss
http://slapdashdoc.blogspot.com/2015/08/f-foss.html
Just some slapdash thoughts that have very little to do with anything and a lot to do with everything. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Remember how much Sam hated swimming lessons when he was almost three? Remember how we had to hold his hand and walk around the pool watching. The other kids in his class play games and sing songs and swim in the pool? Well, that happened, and we had to take some time away from swimming to get over the trauma. BTW- I love your blog background. St Paul, MN.
