Mrs. Katzman's Kinder Cubs: Currently
http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2014/09/currently.html
Monday, September 1, 2014. I know, twice in one day! Had I remembered it was September 1st, I would have saved my earlier post until tomorrow. I am linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade. Hop over and take a look at what other fun things are happening all over the world. I just took my two boys to the water park. It's crazy to me they are old enough to do things like this on their own. And they are meeting GIRLS! When on earth did this happen. Thanks for stopping by! Have a super month! I am chuckli...

Mrs. Katzman's Kinder Cubs: July 2013
http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. New School Year, New Attitude! So I've been in a funk! I didn't realize how bad its been until I stepped back and really took a long HARD look at myself. In taking that look, what I discovered was, I spent a lot of time worried about what other people thought, wondered if I was good enough, and focused on what's wrong in my life rather than what's RIGHT! So, that is going to change in a big way. Part of the change comes from reading the book, Teach Like A Pirate! As part of my 21 ...

http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. I had so much fun linking with 4th Grade Frolics. Last Monday. I decided I wanted to do it again. This week I am being a copycat with a twist. A couple of weeks ago one of my favorite bloggers wrote a post on 3-D Ten Frames! My first reaction, OMG I need to make those. They are just what I have been looking for! If you want to read Smedley's Smorgasboard's (#smittenwithsmorgie) original post, here is a link . Super easy and yet so useful. Happy crafting! Posted by Patti Katzman.

Wednesday, July 23, 2014. First Week Lesson Plans. Typically I spend my summer working on plans for my room. I like change and try to do a new theme in my class every year. However, this year I decided that I would keep elements from last year and not really have a "Theme"! By making this decision, I am freeing up my time to plan! Posted by Patti Katzman. Monday, July 21, 2014. Monsters, Monster, and more Monsters! My first theme of the year will be monsters. I have been busy making centers, finding ...

Tuesday, August 20, 2013. I love the colors and can't wait until I'm actually done with the entire room. I'd better hurry, school starts on Monday. Stay tuned for the rest of my room. Posted by Patti Katzman. Sunday, August 11, 2013. And so it begins. Hello, I had NO idea that Big Lots had so much fun stuff for the classroom. I also found book baskets for my reading area. Big Lots is now on my official list of favorite places to shop for school stuff. Posted by Patti Katzman. Monday, August 5, 2013.

Mrs. Katzman's Kinder Cubs: September 2013
http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 2, 2013. So, I've been blogging off and on for a couple of years. I've been reading blogs for a lot longer. This is what I've learned, blogging is really hard work. It's hard to gain an audience and keep them interested. I have great intentions. Really I do! However, life gets in the way. I don't get how the really great bloggers balance all of their responsibilities. I really admire their ability to do it all! My Cubs don't speak English! My Cubs are homeless! Mrs. Katzman's Kinder Cubs: Classroom Tour!
http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2014/08/classroom-tour.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Yesterday was my first day with my new group of Cubs! I finally finished my room and I am excited to share the final product with you. In the past, I have done Bears, Jungle, and Fairy Tales. This year I did not do a theme. I chose to focus on color and making my room as inviting as possible. I think I accomplished that goal. Back of my room. Close up of my writing bins and "What can I write about? Bulletin board. The basket will be used for math stations. I made the pom poms an...

Mrs. Katzman's Kinder Cubs: March 2013
http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 29, 2013. Let me introduce you to my little friend. I don't know how many of you have your own personal laminator. I have one and I LOVE it. This box of 100 lamination sheets cost $10 AND the shipping was free, yes I did say free. I prefer laminating at home for many reasons. The two most important reasons are these, I love the convenience and the lamination is thicker which means more durable and is easier for my Cubs to erase after using. Posted by Patti Katzman. http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Once again an entire school year has passed by without a single blog post from me. I am going to TRY to be better about blogging. I have plenty to share and I'm sure you can hardly wait ;) However, that is not what this post is all about. Onto more important things. I am excited to link up with Farley from Oh'Boy 4th Grade. Listening: I am listening to The Talk on CBS as I am waiting for my boys to come home so we can go shopping. Not because of my class! Have you ever had so muc...

Mrs. Katzman's Kinder Cubs: October 2012
http://katzmankindercubs.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 27, 2012. This month's structure is Fan and Pick. Fan and Pick is based on groups of four students (most of Kagan's structures are for cooperative groups of 4). I have these mats in the center of each table to help students. Http:/ www.kaganonline.com/catalog/. This structure is one that I use everyday in my classroom. My Cubs love it. Here's how it works:. Step One: Student 1 takes the stack of cards, fans them and turns to student 2 saying, Pick a card, any card. If you want to learn ...
