Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Camping Day #2 Bear Lake. On our second day camping we decided to drive up through the canyon to Bear Lake. On the way there we ran into a cattle drive. Here are just a few of the cattle we passed on the way. They were leading them up through the canyon on the highway. It sure slowed down the traffic, but it was interesting to watch. We finally arrived at Bear Lake and we started to enjoy the sun, sad and water. Justin enjoyed relaxing in this floating bed. Winter sunset in UT.

Saturday, December 28, 2013. Trip to Colorado-Saying Goodbye. We had a wonderful trip to Colorado this Christmas! I am so glad that we went. It was so special to spend time with our family that we don't see very often. It was really neat for me to see old friends. And we have some great memories to cherish. Sunday, March 24, 2013. Christmas Houses and Trains. Our family has two really fun family traditions that come from Jared and my childhood. The Hendrixs always made graham cracker houses (See previous post) and the Porters always made candy trains (I forgot my camera the night we did trains). Jared and I have enjoyed keeping these traditions alive with our on family. Here are the finished products. Jared combined his to make the mountain in the Polar Express. Graham Cracker Houses 2012. Thursday, August 15, 2013. Camping Trip Day 1. Summer is winding down and we haven't been able to take a camping trip yet this year. So Jared took a week off and we headed out for a few days of relaxation. (Little did we realize how much we would need it until that week.) Anyway, we had a great time Here are some pictures of our first day camping in the beautiful Logan Canyon. Jared using is brand new camp chef for the first time. We are so excited to be CAMPING! The kids loved playing on this bridge.

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. An Unexpected Home Improvement. While we were installing the new front door, I was having the kids help do laundry. It wasn't long though before the kids were saying the dryer wouldn't turn on. Jared and I went down and sure enough it wouldn't turn on. As soon as we had the door hung, we went shopping for a new washer/dryer set. They were delivered a couple of days later. I love how big they are and how much laundry I can get done at once. Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Our New Flower Beds. Anyway, last year we began to notice that the window well was beginning to rust and fall apart. The only way to replace it was to dig the whole thing out and I would have to rip out a good part of the flower bed to do it. So it seemed like a perfect time to pull everything out and start completely over. It has been a lot of hard work, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
