"Let there be SHINY!" - The Doctor's Laboratory
http://dr-nebula.livejournal.com/900503.html
The lair of a MAD SCIENTIST. Let there be SHINY! Oct 18th, 2012 at 12:53 PM. The Doctor said, and there was SHINY and it was Good. Last week I was at the 19th Peach State Star Gaze, held at the Deerlick Astronomy Village or DAV. On Friday I gave a talk on Lunar Geology for the Solar System Symposium. And imaged all manner of deep sky objects during the mostly clear night skies. For starters, here's a pretty little spiral galaxy. NGC 6946 in Northern Cygnus. The Pacman Nebula - or NGC 281. Thank you. .

Recurring Characters: tes_skyrim
http://tes-skyrim.livejournal.com/147381.html
Cackle my gladys (. I recently started thinking about recurring characters in the Elder Scrolls series. There arent really that many of them. I know character building isnt necessarily Bethesdas strong point, not compared to a studio like Bioware, but theres an awful lot of potential floating around. There was a thread concerning this in the Lore forums on the official TES site a few years ago, and I think the list ended up standing as such:. Chancellor Ocato - hes a big player in Oblivion, but he is act...

Mea Culpa?: tes_skyrim

Nowhere, Middle of. Weve all had our share of fun, poking fun at Bethesda for dropping the ball on one aspect of TES or another, so imagine my surprise when I found something they actually got right. Sometime last week I was mentioning the difficulty I was having with getting the Master Criminal trophy, and someone said something along the lines of a better question is, why dont you have the DLC? My excuse was that Im saving what little I can spare for the next computer Im going to have to buy. On her...

Nowhere, Middle of. I so totally WISH I could post a link to this . . . Over on Diaspora* someone posted an animated .gif of a yellow parakeet attacking a blue werewolf action figurine with something similar to a Nordic double-bladed War Axe - holding it horizontally in its beak. The parakeet wins. It is hilarious! Post a new comment. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Mages - Morrowind
http://morrowind.livejournal.com/244247.html
April 2nd, 2011. I keep hearing how hard it is to play morrowind as a pure mage character - why? Sure, they're weak and slow in the beginning, but that's why early quests are easy. By the time you're at a decently high level - 15 - I find the mage has outstripped the warrior and thief in nearly every regard. What kind of character do you like to play? 2011-04-02 07:47 pm (UTC). I'm not, so I tend to favor any character who can hand out damage and use heavy armor. 2011-04-04 12:17 am (UTC). A good power p...

"Planet Parade". - The Doctor's Laboratory
http://dr-nebula.livejournal.com/902727.html
The lair of a MAD SCIENTIST. Mar 24th, 2014 at 11:13 AM. I haven't posted a nice SHINY image series in some time - here is a parade of spring planets. Jupiter and satellite Io in transit. If you look closely, you'll see the Great Red Spot rotating out of view and the satellite Io (against the lower or southern equatorial band as a tiny round spot) and its shadow. Coming up in late evening is a very bright "star" - the planet Mars! Saturn, the Ringed Beauty. 5 comments Leave a comment. Assholes on the road.
