Mrs Redboots' Food and Recipes: September 2014

http://mrsredbootsfood.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Mrs Redboots' Food and Recipes. What I'm cooking and eating. Annabel Smyths Home Page. Monday, 29 September 2014. I have a new cooker! But we have bought a new one, and transformed our kitchen, as we had room to put the microwave above it, which has made more room than anybody would think possible. Another cause for wild excitement is that the oven appears to make sponge cakes! My old oven never did - it made wonderful Dundee cakes. Website, looked at what was in the fridge, and came up with this:. Soak ...

Mrs Redboots' Food and Recipes. What I'm cooking and eating. Annabel Smyths Home Page. Saturday, 17 January 2015. You can scale this up, as you wish. Each batch makes about 2½ kg, c. 5lbs of marmalade. There are a couple of different ways of doing it, both a hassle, but worth it in the end. 1 1kg bag Seville oranges. 1 kg preserving or granulated sugar. 1 litre water (or less, depending which method you use). Mrs Redboots (Annabel Smyth). Links to this post. Saturday, 10 January 2015. 1 tbs cooking oil.

Mrs Redboots' Food and Recipes: July 2014

http://mrsredbootsfood.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Mrs Redboots' Food and Recipes. What I'm cooking and eating. Annabel Smyths Home Page. Friday, 25 July 2014. Half fill a blender goblet with ice, add a chunk (about 3 cm) of cucumber, cut slightly smaller, and a sprig of mint if you have it (I didn't). Cover with chilled water and process until slushy. If you don't like cucumber, or don't find this sweet enough, why not try melon? Or even mango or peach? Mrs Redboots (Annabel Smyth). Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Annabel's Travelblog: April 2015

http://mrsredbootstravelblog.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

The journal of an occasional traveller. Monday, 27 April 2015. It's a long time since I have caught a bus from Wimbledon station to Merton Abbey Sainsbury's, but it hasn't changed! Then I arrived at the bus stop just in time for a 155, which took me as far as Clapham Common. I was very amused to notice that as we passed Tooting Bec and Balham, the shops got progressively posher and posher as we moved towards Clapham! Mrs Redboots (Annabel Smyth). Friday, 17 April 2015. Chicken Marsala - David Lebovitz

http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2015/02/chicken-marsala-recipe

Laquo; Bread, on the table…s’il vous plait. Rodel Sardines ». Who knew I (or more to the point, Paris) was so ahead of the curve? Last year, when I wrote about the preponderance of purple populating Paris. A few readers pointed out that the color orchid was named The Color of the Year by tastemakers, Pantone. And recently, I made Marsala-baked pears. Only to find out that, yup this year, Marsala. I’m not sure if chicken Marsala is something you’d get in Italy, but it’s popular in Americ...Thin pieces of ...

Yay! - My Life on (and off) Ice

http://mrs-redboots.livejournal.com/113530.html

What I've just said. My Life on (and off) Ice. Jul 22nd, 2007 at 6:38 PM. Yay me, for I have a brand-new shiny laptop! Which is a Fujitsu Siemens, and very nice too. However, it is Windows Vista, and I haven't yet made friends with it, and can't yet find the other computers on our domestic network. And I am not yet used to typing on my lap. 10 said something Reply to this. Jul 22nd, 2007 06:33 pm (UTC). I NEED my Zoo Tycoon! Jul 22nd, 2007 07:22 pm (UTC). And I need my Solitaire Suite! Wednesday skate and other clevernesses - My Life on (and off) Ice

http://mrs-redboots.livejournal.com/114458.html

What I've just said. My Life on (and off) Ice. Wednesday skate and other clevernesses. Jul 25th, 2007 at 12:38 PM. Leapt out of bed this morning to see whether I still had my Visual Liturgy to put it on my new computer. But I don't, only an upgrade pack. So I don't quite know what to do - a new copy would cost 125, which I really can't afford just now. Those of you on my f-list who are, or whose spouses are preachers, what software do you/they use, if any? I do use it enormously, but is it worth 125?

http://mrsredbootstravelblog.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

The journal of an occasional traveller. Monday, 30 March 2015. The Ideal Home Show. I seem to have been hibernating rather, but the clocks have gone forward and Spring is just about here, so it's time to be up and about again. And today I decided to take myself to the Ideal Home Show. One of my favourite events in the calendar. I don't go every year these days - can't afford to - but I do love going when I can. Annabel's Travelblog: Lemonade by the river

http://mrsredbootstravelblog.blogspot.com/2015/06/lemonade-by-river.html

The journal of an occasional traveller. Friday, 19 June 2015. Lemonade by the river. It took about an hour to get to Richmond, the bus going via Wandsworth (I see the old Arndale Centre is now rather poshly called Southside! Putney, Mortlake, East Sheen and finally turned off the South Circular to arrive in Richmond. We got out at the bus station, which was only about five minutes' walk to the river. As suggested on the maps, we walked to the middle of the bridge to look at the view:. Eleanor, Day 3.

The journal of an occasional traveller. Wednesday, 8 July 2015. Then we drove on to Coventry to visit the Cathedral there, and to meet the Canon Pastor, whose blog is called Good In Parts. She was busy, so we spent a very happy half hour wandering around the Cathedral and taking pictures. There will be more pictures on my Facebook page, for those who are friends there - these are just a sample. When the Canon was able to join us, we wandered round the Ruins (always capitalised! Annabel's Travelblog

The journal of an occasional traveller. Wednesday, 29 July 2015. We ended up spending the first night outside the Daughter's home in east London! We did try to book into the Lee Valley campsite, but couldn't get an answer from them, and by the time we had filled it with water, installed the gas, discovered how to get hot water, brought the loo into use, and so on, we were exhausted. So we pulled all the curtains and clambered into what proved to be an incredibly comfortable bed! The Boys appeared just as...
