Mrs. Rohla's Book Review: March 2012

http://mrsrohlasbookreview.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Mrs Rohla's Book Review. Sunday, March 25, 2012. This week I tried to read Damned. By Chuck Palahniuk. He also wrote Fight Club. And I thought the movie was interesting, so I'd try this book. The main character is a 13-yr-old girl named Madison who ends up in Hell supposedly for smoking marijuana. This book was so bad, I couldn't even finish it. I read the the beginning and then skipped to the end to see if it ever got better. It didn't. I do not recommend this book to anyone. Sunday, March 4, 2012.

Mrs. Rohla's Book Review: Arena One

http://mrsrohlasbookreview.blogspot.com/2012/09/arena-one.html

Mrs Rohla's Book Review. Monday, September 3, 2012. Is the first book in the Survival Trilogy by Morgan Rice. For those of you who think I only review books I recommend, here's the flip side. I didn't like this book at all. I love post-apocalyptic books, and the book jacket made this book sound like a combination of Hunger Games. And Life As We Knew It. Both of which I read without putting down. This picture is false advertising. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Mrs. Rohla's Book Review: January 2012

http://mrsrohlasbookreview.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Mrs Rohla's Book Review. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Night of the Living Trekkies. Night of the Living Trekkies. Is about a man named Jim who is burned out after two tours of fighting in Afghanistan. He works a normally low-stress job at a hotel, which one weekend a year hosts a Star Trek Convention. Jim was really into Star Trek before his war experiences made him not care about things or want any responsibility anymore. Night of the Living Trekkies. Thursday, January 26, 2012. About two weeks ago.

Mrs. Rohla's Book Review: Big Trouble

http://mrsrohlasbookreview.blogspot.com/2012/09/big-trouble.html

Mrs Rohla's Book Review. Monday, September 10, 2012. All of the chapters are fast-paced and witty, as you'd expect. Each character's observations and opinions of the other characters seem very real, and even though the scenarios are often implausible, unlike some (unnamed) books, this one can carry it off and convince the reader to suspend disbelief in an entirely convincing way. A blog about crafting and creating, with a little bit of food thrown in! Teen Lit Book Blog. Friday, December 16, 2011. Today is purple and black day! I'm looking at four different shops with the color purple running through them all. To start us off, here's an item for all us cold-weather folks. This hat. By Our Home to Yours. On Etsy looks just right for the cold upon us. Next, an absolutely gorgeous hand painted silk scarf. On Etsy. I just love browsing through this shop and seeing all the color.

Those of you who have been following me for a while may have noticed that I have once again changed the look of my blog! I recently changed the background and added tabs at the top of the page. A blog about crafting and creating, with a little bit of food thrown in! Teen Lit Book Blog. Monday, April 30, 2012. How To Fold A Paper Cup. A year or so ago I taught a few teenagers the trick, and it was like a light bulb just came on. I had to send one kid out to the water fountain to prove it worked, and when he came back, everyone else crowded around to inspect. Did it really work? And then he drank the water out of it! What other uses are there? See the extra paper? Turn the paper over and repeat.

A blog about crafting and creating, with a little bit of food thrown in! Teen Lit Book Blog. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. It seems like I never have any spare change when I need it, and I have nothing but when I don’t! I decided to something about it. I’ve had this little Grey Poupon jar that I’ve been itching to used more effectively. Next, I cut up some scrapbook paper leftovers into even smaller pieces. I started with about 1" squares and found that 1/2" squares were better because of the small size ...

A blog about crafting and creating, with a little bit of food thrown in! Teen Lit Book Blog. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Super Easy Hair Clip Organizer. Is a two item project simple enough? As you've read, I've been really interested in hair clips recently. I don't wear them to work, but I do wear them every weekend and any other time off I have (have I mentioned I'm also growing my hair out? How did that happen?
