直至一九六零年初期，怡河先贤 衍说宗亲令先祖父 首先集资创设江夏大锣鼓队，成立后宗亲喜悦 继而於一九六二年六月廿五日，数位宗亲在喜光宗亲殡礼上，以江夏堂名义，具备牲仪礼品祭奠 即晚订在野野街某餐摊集议，参加者近十人，衍源宗亲被推选为筹备会临时主席进行注册，衍央宗亲负责起草章程，亚屡、道文、万寿宗亲负責广招会员，三位宗贤不辞劳苦，走遍乡村僻壤 一九六四年二月廿六日注册批准时，会员达百馀人，租赁砂香街门牌廿八号楼上为会所临时办事处，推选德高望重之则健先贤为首任主席。 一九六五年八月廿七日(即农历八月初一日)正式宣布成立，并定农历八月初一日为会庆吉日，设福利组照顾宗亲福利事宜 一九六九年设立宗亲子女学业成绩优异奖励金 立会后获得宗亲热烈支持，董事鞠躬尽瘁，入会者众，会务繁忙，会所不敷应用，极需自置新会所，以供发展之需，一九七一年五月卅一日董事会提出讨论，决定物色适当地点以建筑会所，发动筹募基金，群情兴奋，认捐者众，集腋成裘，聚沙成塔，共筹得八万四千九百一十五元 一九七二年四月十日定购三马路门牌119-7及119-8新建双层店屋两间，价银六万三千五百元，直至一九七四年四月间建筑完成交屋，才搬入新厦办公。
