There is a beautiful garden at the back, with a series of terraces going up the hill behind. The view down to the sea is fabulous. We have a wooden deck up at the back with a table and benches for picnics. Up at the very back of the garden there is a gate up onto the hillside and a 20 minute walk takes you to the top of the hill and spectacular views.

The sitting room has two sofas and an easy chair (extra seat is on its way! There is a 40’ Sony LCD television with DVD player and and i-pod player (complete with ipod if you don’t bring your own). The real coal fire is very welcoming after a day on the hills.

You can see seals all year round on the rocks of the islands behind Tanera and in the bays on the northern side of the peninsula. Dolphin and even killer whales are a frequent sight in the summer - thanks to one of our guests for this picture!

The dining room has double glass doors opening onto a small terrace with table and chairs, and stunning views at the front down onto Tanera Mor. The dining table seats 8 when extended or 6 without the extra leaf. There is china, glassware and cutlery for 16.
