Little Apple Seeds: July 2009
http://littleappletally.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thoughts and opinions as they filter in and out. Monday, July 27, 2009. Cowgirl Takes a Fall. This is my sister Char. She has been secretary of our local PRCA rodeo committee for so many years I've lost count. She loves the sport, and the people associated with it, but her appreciation of the animals is purely hands-off, visual, not physical if you get my drift. They didn't know it but Char took the bullet for a good number of fans she had just directed away from the area. Thursday, July 16, 2009. We may...

Little Apple Seeds: November 2011

Thoughts and opinions as they filter in and out. Friday, November 11, 2011. Living near an Army base, and having lived here the majority of my life, I am constantly aware of the military presence. We lost our family farm to the expansion of the army reservation. Not the best of memories but one I came to terms with a long time ago. I consider that our sacrifice, just like veterans have made their sacrifices. Well, not just like but in a parallel fashion. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ag family goin' strong!

Thoughts and opinions as they filter in and out. Monday, November 23, 2009. I see I haven't posted since the 12th of Oct. It has been busy, busy! The granddaughter competed well, made the short go in 2 events and ended up placing 8th I think in the breakaway roping. She went for it and were it not for that calf being about 3 inches slower than you would want, she would have won that event. Rodeo builds great character! Its been an especially pretty fall here and I almost had time to enjoy it. Somewhere o...

Friday, August 1, 2008. Long week. Still no entry. My brain is really, really tired. And probably not of the blogging capacity at this very moment. But last night, after such a refreshing chat with my LeAnna. When I was actually inspired, all the computers were off.and the clacking would have aroused the slumbering household. :( Oh well. I'm doomed to be outletlessly inspired, and otherwise writer's blocked. I miss my Anna. She should be back home now- can't wait to hear from you dear! I'm still relishin...

Spencer and Sally May. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. It's been a "warm" summer to say the least, so Rip and Snort decided to make their show calves a shade. They fabricated, welded and got burned a bit by stray bits of slag. Dad made it home at about 1/4 of the way into construction. Baby it was HOT outside!

One Old Cowgirl's View. Of Life on the Alberta Prairie. Newer posts →. May 19, 2016. Life is good (most days). I’m still feeling surprisingly well with lots of energy to fuss over a couple of old horses, my housework, Lilly, Blue, an old cowboy, and one tomato plant. I do wish I could have a garden or a least a balcony with a little more sun but it’s all good. Everyday Blue and I get to go out to the barn and smell horses, my favorite place and favorite smell.
