Kodzuki no Nikki: février 2012
http://kodzuki.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

An Eye for an I.

The spirit of 1989. Thank you, Museum of Communism. June 21, 2012. I must therefore thank you Czechs and Germans who were bold enough to rid yourselves of your oppressors twenty years ago. The legacy of your accomplishment brought me in touch with my own past in a very immediate way, and it gave me hope for the future of the ruined land I was forced to leave behind and from which I’ve been barred, along with my books. I’m especially grateful to the Museum of Communism in Prague. Carlos Eire, author of.

Here’s video I shot during the worst of it, and you can see why the train line abutting the river closed: Water is leaking right through the tunnel walls. You also see employees measuring the water level and inspecting the tunnel. Then, the swelled Seine shows its power as it pulls debris down its length. 8230;as do boat tour signs.
