Exploring art with child-like wonder…. We’re working on our current fears on a group I’m involved in…it took me a while to really dig at what I’m currently afraid of and I was shocked at what I found. Success means you have further to fall and more people are watching. Here is what I drew in my art journal…. A Quiet Night of Art. Mar 04, 2011. Mar 04, 2011. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Sunday, April 17, 2011. The Tumblers are Here. Here's a card I found while I was looking through pictures on my old phone, transferring things to the new phone on Friday. It occured to me that it had been 2 years since I made it. I don't think I'll ever forget the shocking phone call telling me my younger sister's husband had died. Really makes you stop and think about how important today is. I'll be crafting all week (SPRING BREAK! Friday, April 8, 2011. A blog award.Whoo Hooo! THANK YOU, CINDY LOU!

Krazy on the Kuskokwim: May 2011

Krazy on the Kuskokwim. Living, working and crafting on the Kuskokwim river. I wish we had all of these beautiful fruits and vegetables available to us here in Bethel! This was taken last fall at Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA. Sunday, May 15, 2011. My beautiful daughter Alicia went to her Junior Prom tonight. She is so lovely and had a wonderful time. I am grateful that she chose a modest dress and that she is such a sweet young lady! She is a joy to my life! Even her jewelry and nails were beautiful!

Exploring art with child-like wonder…. A Quiet Night of Art. I had a friend over on Saturday evening and we explored our arty side letting the muse have control. We both had no idea what we were going to end up with. It was freeing to start with no end goal in mind. Her artwork came out beautiful but sadly I have no picture of it. Here I posted mine and will explain the process. I went wild with the flowers and vines and beaded gel. Love it. I then added a fading red stamp effect at the top from the righ...

Exploring art with child-like wonder…. Remember the FREE course…. My friend was getting married and I volunteered to do her makeup. I was going to be there fairly early before the wedding and was 2.5 hours away from home. So, I brought my sketchbook and started sketching after I was done. The bride was the inspiration. She has curly hair, but it’s not as curly as the portrait. In Monthly Art Challenges. Can I Keep Him? It makes me me giggle a little when I look at it. I hope you enjoy it too. The next st...

Exploring art with child-like wonder…. This is one of my favorite prayers, inspirations, poems, call it what you will. Go placidly amid the noise and haste,. And remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender,. Be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,. Even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. For the world is full of trickery.
