I grew up in Shelbyville, Indiana and was a proud part of the graduating class of 1994. As a high school Junior, I met my future husband, a German foreign exchange student. I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Ball State University in 1998, and promptly relocated to Berlin, Germany. We married in 1999 and lived in a two-bedroom apartment in Berlin, where I found work as a Junior Designer at a small advertising agency; whose clients included German movies houses, a popular cable TV station.
