A Tiny Sip of Absinthe: December 2006
http://atinysipofabsinthe.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
A Tiny Sip of Absinthe. Thursday, December 21, 2006. Uh Mah. Gaw. It's unheard of for me to post twice in one day, but I had to share this gem. I found Idolator a cpl of weeks ago (it's a music/music industry website by Gawker Media), and I've kept up with it daily. Today, they post this:. A Tiny Sip of Absinthe: October 2006
http://atinysipofabsinthe.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
A Tiny Sip of Absinthe. Friday, October 13, 2006. As I mentioned in my last entry, I just finished a book that I want to shout about from rooftops, but since that would probably get me arrested for disorderly conduct or un-American activity, I thought I'd post about it. The book is The Thin Place. By Kathryn Davis, and I savored it for 3 months (rather than greedily devour it, as I do with most books I read). It was delicate, profound, and completely beautiful. I read a review of it in the. I read becaus...

A Tiny Sip of Absinthe: July 2006

A Tiny Sip of Absinthe. Monday, July 24, 2006. A set of 12 DVD's full of 80's music videos found its way into my possession this weekend, and I've been cracking out like I haven't since. Season 2 was released. I wish I could convey the feeling of delight I had when I saw the video to "Something About You" by Level 42 for the first time in at least 15 years. And "Always Something There to Remind Me" by Naked Eyes. And "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell. Mtv of the 80's. Posted by Absinthe at 1:45 PM. It's Friday...

Sunday, May 20, 2007. Posted by Melanie @ 11:38 AM. I am a thirtysomething mom of two toddlers who is learning every day from them. My stories about raising them are sometimes silly, sad, inspiring, or heartwarming, but they, like my kids, are always honest. Thanks for stopping by! View my complete profile. Were Smarter.Trust Us. Because I Say So: October 2006
http://maggiejp22.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Because I Say So. Thursday, October 19, 2006. Did you know there's no White Castle in Cherry Hill, NJ? I think someone should open a franchise there so we can all replicate Harold and Kumar's quest. Posted by Maggie at 12:31 AM. I Made an A! On my history midterm. I'm very happy about this :). Posted by Maggie at 12:08 AM. Monday, October 16, 2006. So what wonderful and exciting things should I say for my quarterly posting? Since that's how often I seem to be updating this.). I met my 3 week-old niece th...

Thursday, July 05, 2007. Is Literary Analysis a joke? One of my favorite examples of over analyzing a text is Robert Frost's Stopping By Woods on A Snowy Evening. The last two lines repeat "And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.". I can just see my professors now.an analysis of this poem would reveal that Frost surely used the method of repetition to cause the last two lines to be impactful. He was making a profound statement simply by repeating the last two lines.

A Tiny Sip of Absinthe: September 2006

A Tiny Sip of Absinthe. Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Under the moonlight.the serious moonlight. The job search continues, and I actually have a few more prospects than when I last wrote. It's official, by the way - as of Sept. 22, I will be free of this bullshit, ridiculous company and all the douchebags (see many, many previous entries) contained therein. My only regret is that it wasn't. At least I have fun shows to look forward to! Fantastic friend, Amy (who's also going to the show - YEAH! Solong s...

A Tiny Sip of Absinthe. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Pad Thai, Krystals, and R. Kelly. There's something so great about a fantastic Thai meal with several of your favorite people on your birthday, followed by a walk around your (tiny) town square, followed by Heineken at your town's best version of a run-down dive bar where you interact with fun, kind people from around your town that makes everything feel ok for a while. A Tiny Sip of Absinthe. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Since moving into my apartment, I haven't really ventured out to hear live music, so going to the DiscOasis show Friday night was kind of a big deal. It was a lot of fun, though - they do the sweetest covers of "Boogie Nights" - my all-time favorite disco song - and "More More More" that I've ever heard. Fun crowd, too. Fun people tend to like disco, or at least tolerate it for a night b/c it's not blues or a cheezy jam band. Posted by Absinthe at 1:31 PM.
