Visibility - GCC Wiki
http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/Visibility
Revert to this revision. The text on this page was almost integrally written by Niall Douglas, the original author of the patch, and placed on nedprod.com. This is basically a local mirror (especially useful because the external website now appears to be down). Why is the new C visibility support so useful? Put simply, it hides most of the ELF symbols which would have previously (and unnecessarily) been public. This means:. It very substantially improves load times of your DSO (Dynamic Shared Object).

DTD and Schema for HTML5. Where’s the DTD? Not finished yet. HTML5 is complex and this is a non profit project. I can’t spend much time on the DTD design. My first idea was to publish the DTD when it’s finished, but that would take to long. I decided to blog about the progress, publishing a series of “alpha releases”. Will the DTD be official? No As long as it means “W3C official” or something like that. The project is NOT related to W3C or WHATWG. It’s related to me. Looks really weird to me.). HTML5 DT...

DTD and Schema for HTML5. Laquo; HTML5: DTD module for body. HTML5: DTD module for video/audio. I like the concept of the data-* attributes. Introduced with HTML5. I don’t like how they are implemented. Just one character had to be changed. The data-* attributes “are intended to store custom data private to the page or application, for which there are no more appropriate attributes or elements” (quoted from HTML5 spec. Those namespaces use a prefix too. But it’s separated from the custom name b...Some sa...

A lot has happened since; Ubuntu 8.04 came out, and I was happy with it. Microsoft finalized their third service pack for Windows XP, and best of all I upgraded my PC with an AMD Athlon64 X2 5600 CPU, 2GB DDR2-800 RAM and a GeForce 8600GT VGA card. Recently, Microsoft invaded Asus Eee. MIDs and the OLPC project. Of course, Linux has many advantages.

DTD and Schema for HTML5. Laquo; HTML5: DTD module for head. HTML5: DTD module for body. For the body of an HTML5 document. It needs some explanations:. The new article element is still missing in my draft. Authors are also encouraged to explicitly wrap sections in elements of sectioning content, instead of relying on the implicit sections generated by having multiple headings in one element of sectioning content. I expect people still want to be able to write HTML pages without any structure. A body is ...
