Almost Birding: February 2015
http://www.leedingain.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A naturalist struggling to survive in birdless Surrey. Published stuff and reviews. Jack Snipe encounters and patch ticks: 14 February. The highlight of an afternoon and evening session at the patch today was 7 Jack Snipe on Staines Moor, one bird in particular giving incredibly close views! Fascinating to watch their behaviour and take in the detail. 1 of at least 7 Jack Snipe seen today - I watched this bird for 45 minutes at a range of about a metre. In the NE corner (patch tick). Sunday, July 21, 2013. Up close with Fiery-billed Aracaris. Fiery-billed Aracari ( Pteroglossus frantzii. At Wilson Botanical Garden. On my first afternoon at Wilson Botanical Garden/Las Cruces Biological Station, I went for a walk to a small mirador overlooking the valley. Not much was moving around, and it was pretty quiet. Just before I turned around to walk back, movement in the bushes below caught my eye, and I saw a large flash of red - the bill of a Fiery-billed Aracari! Saltators proved to be the...

Tico Birder: Sobre el autor
http://spadebill.blogspot.com/p/sobre-david.html

Earth on the Wing. A blog about my experience with birds, ecology, and sustainability on planet Earth. Friday, June 5, 2015. NYC waters- Randall's Island. Randalls Island is really an amalgamation of terra firma. Its current state shows you just how much humans can impact land and water. We united apparently three formerly disconnected islands, including Wards Island, Randalls Island, and the Sunken Meadow island. Looking at the Historical NYC Maps and Atlases.
