We tried out some German dishes this week to bring the flavors of Oktoberfest to our kitchen. The bratwurst was the hardest dish to photograph, but one of the tastiest of the week! We welcomed friends and family over for a little gathering right before Christmas. Guests enjoyed candy cane martinis, sipped on our homebrew, and drank wine as snow fell outside. The picture below is the food table. Starting with the center plate and working clockwise:. Sugar Cookies with Andes Mints in the Center. Chips with French Onion Dip. Valentine's Day and Other Days. It's just been super busy around here! We are so glad you are still checking our blog. We have been cooking away- just not able to post lately.until now! We celebrated our first married Valentine's Day cooking sushi-grade tuna, orzo, and a chocolate souffle! This curry is the perfect meal to warm your spirit during the cold weather months. We had a couple mini pumpkins around the house used for decorating, and incorporated them in this dish. How functional! We used the crock pot for this one to let the spices marry and produce maximum flavor, but this could be done in a stock pot on the stove as well. You could also sub potato, butternut squash, or even cauliflower if pumpkin isn't your thing. 2 small pumpkins (commonly called sugar pumpkins). Juice of 1 lime.

Sunday, 10 May 2015. All I See are Horses, Horses and More Horses! Chipman Horsemanship is busy busy busy! On top of our Riding Lessons we also have 3 horses for training this month! DJ, The adorable but insecure Arab-Standardbred gelding who needs some more confidence. As well as two 3 Year old unbroke quarter horse mares. On top of that, My very sweet husband bought be a horse!
