The Double Standard: Moving
http://2xstandard.blogspot.com/2013/12/moving.html
Some are just more equal than others. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. God willing, this will be my last post from the state of Maryland. The moving process becomes intense over the next three days so my presence on Twitter will even be minimal. I didn't even mind the dog-sized rats. I even bought one:. Moving to Bel Air was alright. But there's nothing here. Instead of walking around the neighborhoods of Canton, going for a run along the water, etc., I watch TV. I don't even read any more. Le·gal In&#...

a pride of lions: September 2009
http://psuprideoflions.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
A pride of lions. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. What is there to say after the loss to Iowa for a second straight year? I, like every other Penn State fan, have been pondering this for the past two days and the only thing I can come up with is the proverb “every cloud has a silver lining”. I’m a fan of such inspirational ideas. The ‘silver lining’ comes from the idea that thunderclouds that are very dark and threatening often have a silver gleam of sunlight along the edge. 3 A bright prospect. The first p...

a pride of lions: March 2010
http://psuprideoflions.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A pride of lions. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Random thoughts about Pro Day. For M2, this Pro Day became not only a stage for him to show his athleticism, but it also symbolized an effort to give birth to a dream that has been part of him since he was born. Hopefully, this puts him on the radar screen for some team who needs a solid, hardworking, dependable and did I mention "athletic" tight end. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Pride welcomes you to the same blog with a different focus. We are still a...

a pride of lions: November 2009
http://psuprideoflions.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
A pride of lions. Friday, November 27, 2009. Two weeks ago in Beaver Stadium we said goodbye to our seniors including our favorite player and last weekend we watched him help his team win the last regular season game against Michigan State. These kinds of events always cause a bit of sadness, but they also give rise to a new hope for the future (one I’m sure the “82 Crew” will be looking forward to.). So you ask “How does the “logical one” feel? Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Use What You've Got.

The Lion's Den: September 2014
http://psulionsden.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Footloose and Sanction Free! Tuesday, September 30, 2014. As I reflect on the nightmare that was the Northwestern game this past Saturday, I realize that perhaps my recap was a bit harsh. At one point I even said something like, "There are no bowls for that kind of effort, unless you count your own toilet bowl." A bit melodramatic. It's true . . . I haven't seen that much sucking since I toured the Hoover Vacuum Factory. But while it is not the end of the season, it is the end of a perfect season. Even d...

The Lion's Den: December 2013
http://psulionsden.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Footloose and Sanction Free! Saturday, December 7, 2013. URBAN MEYER GOES DOWN! BEST NIGHT OF THE SEASON! Monday, December 2, 2013. Is That Even Possible? Surfing the Internet and reading about Penn State's upset win over the Badgers, I came across this post. On Black Shoe Diaries . . . In fact, the last time an unranked Penn State squad beat a top 20 squad on the road was.wait for it. None of the current players. Anyone have a game that disputes that? Labels: Black Shoe Diaries. The Lion's Den: March 2014
http://psulionsden.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Footloose and Sanction Free! Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Getting Ready For Some Football. Sunday, March 23, 2014. Playing Politics Instead of Football. Just so we are completely clear on this . . . this is not a football related post. It is a political post on a football oriented blog. Nothing more. Nothing less. First, I want to discuss an article from Philly.com. About the upcoming BOT election. Also favored by PS4RS are ex-State Sen. Robert Jubelirer and St. John's University prof Alice Pope. More taxp...

The Lion's Den: Breaking BIG
http://psulionsden.blogspot.com/2014/10/breaking-big.html
Footloose and Sanction Free! Thursday, October 2, 2014. Welcome to your weekly game guide, where we'll guide you through the upcoming BIG Ten match-ups this weekend and who to root for, using our own blend of seasoning, reasoning, and irrational thinking. The opening line favored the Bucks by 10, but has dropped to 7.5, depending on whose line it is anyway. The Buckeyes are not the team you're rooting for. (Jedi mind trick. Works on the weak-minded. Covers most Buckeye fans.). I'm really torn on this one...
