I am a student at Kirkwood Community College (a "mature" student) happily married, and the mom of Lou and Boo, the Dynamic Two (my daughters). I'm also a decorative artist. I don't know how often I'll get to post, but I will when I can. Monday, January 31, 2005. I think I'll make a donation to the ARC of East Central Iowa. http:/ www.arceci.org/. Posted by Aunt Nancy at 4:14 PM. Random Thoughts on the News. I saw this headline on the Drudge Report. I also saw a headline where the mayor of. Wants to build...

Friday, April 28, 2006. My bird is chewing on my sweater! He loves me; he’s grooming me! Or else he’s just a perv. Either way, it is male attention! I have to go to the Dept of Motor Vehicles tomorrow. I was supposed to do it a while ago, but keep putting it off. I have to get a new driver’s license (with my new last name hooray! Yes, these kids today play their music too loud. I’m old. Deal with it.). The ex didn’t want railings, but now I can put them up anyway! I wonder why giving somebody the bird is...

Things My Dog Has Chewed: February 2006
http://thingsmydoghaschewed.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Things My Dog Has Chewed. This blog is devoted to the things our dog "Cookie" has chewed. I need to explain that there are many many things my dog has chewed that can't be showed here. They have long since been thrown away. But I'm confident he'll chew enough new things to make this site interesting anyway. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. And, relatively speaking, there is a LOT of chewing involved before a bucket becomes unrecognisable. But unrecognisable it inevitably becomes:. Posted by wysiwyg @ 5:05 PM.

Sunday, November 27, 2005. For the past several weeks I’ve been thinking about euthanasia. But especially since I had to ask the vet to put my cat to sleep the other day. I know some people are firmly against it. I haven’t got the energy to get into any arguments about it, not now. So, this is just my opinion. I asked before: how do you know when the suffering outweighs the quality of life? Posted by neophyte at 10:06 PM. Thursday, November 24, 2005. Posted by neophyte at 9:43 PM. What If I Stumble.

Thursday, March 30, 2006. Thoughts about the divorce. The divorce was not finalized yesterday due to missing certificates. After some scrambling this morning to get new copies of the missing papers, my lawyer was able to get them to the judge, who evidently signed them today. The divorce was official this afternoon. I have my maiden name back now. If that is the case. why did he charge me $7000? If I was easier than average, and average is $5000, shouldn’t he have charged me $3000? The thing is, I never ...

Monday, May 29, 2006. Where I grew up, Memorial Day weekend was the time to remember. Loved ones who had passed away. I remember going out to my mom’s garden with her and helping her cut flowers to put in bouquets. In my mind, Peonies and Iris will always be grave flowers. Yet, that is a good thing! But in this part of the country, Memorial Day is still mostly for soldiers. I like to go to my little town’s Memorial Day parade, a very somber affair. I missed it this year, unfortunately! Wow What a day!

Saturday, October 29, 2005. Anne Arden McDonald, self-portrait. Heaven bent to take my hand. And lead me through the fire. Be the long awaited answer. To a long and painful fight. Truth be told I've tried my best. But somewhere along the way. I got caught up in all there was to offer. And the cost was so much more than I could bear. Though I've tried, I've fallen. I have sunk so low. I have messed up. Better I should know. So don't come round here. And tell me I told you so. We all begin with good intent.
