Up in the morning we joined our intrepid guide Lee and mr Wong our driver outside of the Lotus Blossom Hotel and made our way towards Guilin city having had the most fantastic evening watching a spectacular light show performed by a cast of 600 people at the rivers edge. In ancient times the lake formed part of a water way in which trading ships plied their wares visiting the North East West and Southern parts do the Beijing countryside.
